Location nice hotel
Small rooms
Location
Listed building so single glazed and therefore quite a lot of road noise in bedrooms at front of hotel
The staff were very helpful and friendly. Also the location was perfect. The parking system was excellent
Could do with special offers in the bistro to draw customers in.
The room was below the breakfast hall and we could hear people walking through the room above us regularly. Breakfast was great and staff were helpful

The location was terrific, with acres of lovely green spaces surrounding the front of the hotel, and the town centre tucked discretely behind the hotel. Everybody we encountered was friendly and as helpful as could be. On the single day we ate there - a Sunday - the restaurant dished up nice wines and a truly excellent roast; exceptionally well cooked, colossal, and surprisingly inexpensive in equal measure.
I would strongly advise anybody staying in the hotter months to ask for a room at the front of the hotel. The views are far better, but more crucially the noise from the service/kitchen fans is intrusive when windows and doors are left open to keep the room cool. Our 'Ravenscroft' room was impressively spacious, but the decoration and the furniture felt tired and careworn and in need of a refresh.
Great breakfast, very clean and hygienic room.
The location is ideal for exploring Harrogate
The view I always seem to get the room with the view of a roof and this was not the cheapest room
Friendly staff, location
Requested a quiet room, received one to the front which was noisy. The worst however was the heat in the room. It was unbearable. The window was not enough to provide good ventilation and it was impossible to air the room by opening door to hallway- too little ventilation there ..Of course the weather was hot but this is an ongoing problem and a solution will have to be found.
Really upset with the hotel. We came two nights for a birthday celebration but had to leave after one night after a bought of food poisoning following a meal in the restaurant. We were both up all night feeling very unwell.
When we left the next day we were told to contact the Deputy Manager Karen. I have sent two emails and two text messages and she has not shown us the courtesy of a response.
I wanted to give the benefit of the doubt as the hotel and room were lovely but just feel really let down with the lack of response which I find unacceptable.
The birthday was ruined and made worse by this lack of consideration.
The perfect hotel. Great parking. Very friendly staff. Lovely room. Wonderful dinner. Excellent breakfast.
Nothing to dislike
Beautiful hotel in perfect central location.
