Ein viel zu teurer Fehler
Pros:

Die Lage am Hafen ist ein Pluspunkt. Die Frau an der Rezeption war nett.

Cons:

Das Zimmer, war super klein, das Licht hat geflackert. Auch nachdem wir uns beklagt haben. Die Dusche ist alt und sollte renoviert werden. Wir haben beim Abendessen selten eine Crew erlebt, die so überfordert und orientierungslos im Restaurant rumgelaufen ist.

Lovely, comfortable stay in a great hotel
Pros:

Staff couldn't be more welcoming and helpful.
Both the room and bathroom were lovely.
Really nice and comfortable seating options to have a drink in the evening.

Cons:

My experience was that the breakfast service was quite slow and what I received was never exactly as ordered.
Breakfast menu could be improved with gluten free sausage and local black pudding (of which there is a gluten free version).
A couple of minor adjustments to the dinner menu (eg to stock/flour) would add to the gluten free options.

Lovely stay will definitely return
Pros:

Was perfect for ferry’s and allowed dogs , staff were really nice and friendly

Cons:

Breakfast took around an hour to get it but was lovely when arrived

Nicely situated near to harbor but scaffolding
Unfortunately blocked the view a bit.
Food was good but had to wait an hour each time we had dinner before being served. Seemed like they had too many outside diners and not enough space for residents

Cons:

Given a very small room with an en-suite like a broom cupboard. Yet the charges were high and would expect a superior room for the price we paid

Probably the best place to stay in Stornoway.
Pros:

Perfectly located.
Plenty of options for food. A busy casual dining experience and a more formal option.
Probably the best food on offer in Stornoway town.
Nice friendly staff.

Cons:

I had a small bathroom with very little space.
It needed a shelf to place toiletries.

We wanted a hotel to use as a base as we explored both Lewis and Harris and the Royal was a perfect
Pros:

We stayed 5 nights and found the hotel excellent - we had room 6 with a delightful bay window where you can sit and watch the world go by. The breakfasts were excellent and prepared freshly to order. We ate in the restaurant which was excellent. Service was superb from all staff members.

Cons:

Disabled access signposting misleading as it's through a fire door. You do need to talk to reception first otherwise very good access.

Warm and Welcoming stay
Pros:

Comfortable room in the heart of Stornoway on the harbour front. It has two great restaurants off the reception areas and I found those perfect to spend the evening in.
But most of all the staff were as lovely as you get. In particular I remember Lena and Gillian as being so helpful but everyone was just great and friendly.
