Pros:

Very close to the beach. Excellent location.Excellent breakfast. Clean room. Helpfull staff. Good Gym and swimming pool.

Cons:

There were two significant issues with our stay.

First, the hotel’s policy appears to require children under the age of 12 to share their parents’ bed. An additional bed is available only for an extra charge. However, we booked the room through Booking.com for three guests, so we reasonably expected suitable sleeping arrangements for all three people to be included in the reservation. This was apparently not taken into account. Since no extra beds were available, we were given only a mattress for our child to sleep on. Booking.com should review this issue and make the sleeping arrangements and any additional charges much clearer during the reservation process.

Second, the suite has a very large bathroom with transparent sliding glass doors. This creates a serious privacy problem, as anyone using the bathroom or taking a bath must get dressed inside before opening the doors; otherwise, they can be seen by everyone in the room. This is poor design and could easily be improved by applying frosted film or another privacy covering to the glass.

Warm, attentive service, good food
Pros:

Not the usual Novotel experience. This is one of the few 4-star hotels which delivers close to a 5-star experience thanks to its motivated and proactive staff. GM Truong Ngoc Thuy Anh came forward to introduce herself. F&B manager Tu went out of her way to specially order my preferred brand of sparkling water which is not offered at the hotel.
I chose this hotel based on the many TA reviewers who praised the food. They are correct. It is quite good, especially the daily seafood buffet - basic spread, very good value and no weekend surcharge - with live cooking station for the seafood (tastier than the pre-cooked and costlier buffet at The Anam). Many thanks to Executive Chef Hanh, f&b assistant mgr Thanh, restaurant staff Linh and the rest of the friendly and attentive crew.
The property may be old but well-kept and the level of hospitality more than makes up for it.

Great stay at the Novotel in Nhà Trang

Prime location: The beach and many restaurants are right outside the door.

Excellent service: The staff is extremely friendly and helpful.

I found the brief conversations I had with Ms. Tràng, Ms. Linh, and Ms. Huong about food waste particularly interesting. (Take all you can, but eat all you take)

Breakfast: The breakfast buffet is plentiful and delicious.

We spent 7 nights at the Novotel hotel and had an absolutely wonderful experience with the service here. A special shoutout to the breakfast staff, who surprised me on my birthday—it made me feel so happy and grateful.
In particular, Thanh and Thuy Huong are two outstanding staff members. Their thoughtfulness, attentiveness, and warm hospitality made us feel right at home. Their care truly made my stay unforgettable. Thank you, wonderful girls, and thank you, Novotel! We will definitely return.
