The traditional style if the hotel
Help with our bags up a steep staircase to the 2nd floor
The room was quiet. Nice dinner. Friendly staff. Clean.
I would have preferred a buffet breakfast.
Everything about this place was superb! The room with the real scotish atmosphere, the location and the view, the staff, the breakfest! Most recomended.
I liked everything
It was very clean, comfortable and friendly
Uno de los mejores hoteles que hemos estado jamás - la cama es comodísima y el lugar es de ensueño
Nada en absoluto !!
Although an old building with plenty of original features it was still presented to a very high standard throughout. The staff were friendly and the food was first class .
Great location and very comfortable, clean hotel. Staff very helpful and welcoming. Food was excellent. Great service.

Amazing in the only word that can explain my experience
Amazing in the only word that can explain my experience
This was our second visit to the Knockendarroch Hotel, and the review I left in 2024 still generally stands – “The Knockendarroch has excellent staff, excellent food and lovely rooms. The key to a stay here is that - everything just works.”
Except that this time, one of the most important things did not work – the billing! We had booked and prepaid a dinner, bed and breakfast rate for two nights. On coming to settle the final bill – just drinks over the two nights, the bill also included dinner for one night and an extra bottle of wine. To an extent, hotel bills have to be taken on trust but on this occasion the excess charge was easily spotted; almost £200 of incorrect charges. To be fair, it was quickly corrected – but it should not have happened. One mistake – perhaps. Two mistakes - smacks of carelessness. Disappointing.
Location
Out of the 4 rooms we had booked, there were large, obvious stains in bedding in 1 room, hair on pillows in another room and the duvet smelled in the 3rd room. Considering we had paid £300 per room per night, there was no help given to carry our luggage to the 2nd floor, no lifts, and our group were all into their late 60's and 70's. Little to no service at breakfast, we had to go and knock on kitchen doors to find staff and get toast. We had been travelling in Scotland in on the NC500 and stayed in nicer, cleaner guest houses and hotels with brilliant, friendly hosts which cost considerably less. Absolutely shambolic and appalling service!
Beautiful hotel, attentive staff and fabulous restaurant - close to town
Nothing
Beautiful charming and gracious. Outstanding dinner and breakfast.

Stayed here for 2 nights of a walking holiday. We had a large room with comfy beds and armchairs. Staff were all very friendly and breakfast was all ordered from and menu and cooked to order.
It is a few minutes walk up the hill from Pitlochry, which is a lovely town with plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants.
Great walking from the doorstep.
