Friendly staff clean rooms, central to everything in Alnwick especially Alnwick gardens and castle round the corner
Location excellent, bus stop outside the Plough to travel to other parts of Northumberland, also Alnwick Castle Gardens playhouse & Barter books all within walking distances.
Plough clean ,staff helpful bar area with outside area all good.
Sink in bathroom cracked, shower small ,no air con no fridge ,needed to have windows open as we were on the front of the building there was a lot of traffic noise .

A wonderfully appointed position in Alnwick town close to the Castle. A very comfortable room.
Not being told that the kitchen was shut the whole week and no food would be available until we arrived at the premises
The staff were very helpful and polite. The bar area was nice and the outside patio area was very pleasant. The room was spacious and very clean.
The bathroom though clean and tidy could do with some little finer touches with the decor.
Unfortunately during our stay there were no breakfasts or meals due to work being carried out in the kitchen which we were looking forward to having as the previous feedback was really positive.
Front doors locked from 10.30pm until noon next day. Only access was through a very tight and steep staircase (fire escape) at the back of the building. The fire escape looked straight into the window so anyone using them could see us in the room. No food was served or in fact available. Heating was on full belt on an already hot night. Shower and sink did not drain. Shower went hot and cold. We struggled to park the car round the back due to the inadequate access. We only stayed one night , even though we paid for 2. Bed was not comfortable either!

Lovely room and very clean
Windows did not open so the room was unbelievably hot. Needed to leave the room early in the morning as couldn’t stand the heat.
Staff were ok and the place was clean
It was red hot in the room on an evening and the fan they supplied broke after a while. Couldn’t open the windows for some air and ironically enough the air con until outside made a racket all night long. Had very little sleep

A very warm welcome from the member of staff. Looked after our luggage until check in. Clear instructions regarding entering and exiting the hotel. Our room was a good size. It was clean and comfortable.
Our bathroom extractor fan continued running for a long time after switching the light off. An air conditioning unit, outside our room, operated noisily, on and off the entire time. Torturous. It was difficult to get to sleep and stay asleep. I did try earplugs but they were ineffective.
Loved everything about our stay - food, accommodation and lovely staff.
