Room was large and very comfortable. The food was served hot and plentiful and very tasty.

Big quiet room, comfy bed, good shower, great carvery dinner, great breakfast, ideal location for Virgin Hot Air Balloon flights from Gillingham.
People leaving used cigarette ends around the place. But it's a pub so can't complain about that.

Fire alarm went off at midnight, but not the proprietors fault.

Both dinner and breakfast were excellent, the rooms were a bit dated due to the age of the building but bathroom renovations have lifted the presentation.
The double rear doors to our room were faulty, one wouldn't unlock, the other didn't lockvandxreliedcon a simple chain for security. We felt safe enough and security concerns for our car parked at the front (roadside parking) were unfounded. Further information re available parking away from the roadside would have been nice to know.
