Pros:

Comfortable beds.
Good breakfast.

Cons:

The walk-in shower was a good size, but it was not really clean, and the tiled floor had grout missing.
I booked an evening meal for myself and my elderly mother, who has coeliacs, but when we got there, we were told that they had an event on so they could only offer scampi and chips, which my Mum could not have, or risotto. As we'd been out all day, we settled for what was offered, but the risotto was not at all good and the people coming in for the event were moving tables around and making so much noise that we had to move tables.
I would have made more sense not to take the booking. We weren't even given an apology.

Good location and cheap.
Pros:

Location is superb. Rooms are comfortable with good facilities.

Cons:

Evening restaurant menu was not available (Landlord did supply a bowl of Chilli).
Breakfast at 08:15 was too late for myself and other guests so I had to miss a breakfast.

The stay was very comfortable and the staff were very helpful and friendly
Pros:

Breakfast was good and I liked that the food from the kitchen was cooked to order

Cons:

Wardrobe space was rather limited for a four night stay. We only ate one evening meal, choice was limited and the food was average but we were informed that the dining facilities had only recently started, so room for improvement.

Painful. To Discover that you have booked the wrong place, when you are walking is a real shock.
Pros:

Well, gee, thanks for letting me reply to my stay at The Vines in Bampton. I really appreciate Booking.com directing me over 150 miles away from the Bampton along the Coast To Coast walk, and thus making it possible for me to lose 160 dollars. I tried to cancel but of course I wasn't allowed. So I really can't judge the qualities since I was staying in the other Bampton, spending another 130 dollars for a room after walking for 14 miles. Such a pleasure. So helpful. So aware that undoubtedly picking the wrong Bampton in England. And after spending nearly 1000 dollars on accommodations through Booking.com, too. I don't think I'll ever use it again. And, too bad, too, I am a travel writer, who has written many pieces for the New York Times travel section. Not that expect anyone one or any pseudo human to read this or even care!

Cons:

Recognize that I was searching for accommodations in Northern England along the Coast to Coast walk, and telling me that there are TWO BAMPTONS, reminding to choose the right one near the area where I had been walking and traveling. But I guess the technical skills of your AI generated booking system didn't have that capacity. A country like the UK has many place names that are similar--Richmond, Keld, etc. etc. Be nice if you could teach a few more skills for those who are not familiar with the geography of country where we are traveling. I suspect there are millions of people, and thousands who get misdirected and don't know until it's too late like me. Yes, you can give me a voucher for travel to compensate for your errors. After read just how many thousands of dollars I've spent at Booking.com.

We had 4 rooms in our booking most of which needed decorative attention .
Pros:

The location was near to an event we were attending. Clean bathroom and comfortable beds tasty breakfast with good service.

Cons:

Our room was quite shabby in need of decorating . Scuffed paintwork and shabby looking. The curtains were poor quality and very creased. Carpets were stained and looked dirty . Only one of the windows in our room opened. I

Disgusting
Pros:

The pillows were nice. The location was pretty.

Cons:

The hotel is filthy, the rooms are disgusting, the electric car charger is broken, linen bins left everywhere, my room wasn’t big enough to swing a dead cat in, the boiler was in my room and made so much noise continuously. I paid the most out of 9 people and had the smallest room. The breakfast was dreadful, had to ask for food to be cooked longer, nothing was re stocked, broken windows, some rooms didn’t even have working main lights, one room had no remote and this wasn’t able to be replaced, one shower handle didn’t work, one shower didn’t have cold water, one shower flooded the bathroom, the carpet everywhere was absolutely disgusting, the carpet in the breakfast room is arguably unsanitary. Honestly avoid this hotel.

Comfortable country side stay.
Pros:

Lovely breakfast and comfortable beds. Nice to be able to park next to our room!! Good WIFI too. As a plus, the Wood Bros brewery was just up the road and it was a very pleasant walk there.

Cons:

It's a shame there was no dinner service so we had to drive out to look for some dinner. Perhaps provide some suggestions/menus in the rooms to help with that.

Not worth the price
Pros:

The bed was comfortable

Cons:

I had 2 bedside lights 1 of which didn't work and a light above the mirror, only. The shower flooded the whole of the bathroom I slipped up and banged my hip and shin trying to get across the slippery wet floor to the bedroom to dry myself. I informed the hotel this morning regarding this. The door from the car park entering the breakfast area the carpet was was extremely dirty and covered in mud. This mess was there on Saturday and when we came down for breakfast on Sunday, NOTHING had been cleaned, considering it was the next day, and people were eating there I found it absolutely disgusting. Things on the buffet part of the breakfast were not replenished,no tea bags, orange juice or bread. There was no breakfast menu, we had to assume what the hot options were. The young girl serving assumed we all wanted a full English, (which was easier for them) this was only changed when some of our party asked questions. There was 9 in our party and we all got our hot breakfast at different times, which resulted in the person who was served first was waiting for the last person to finish. Which I think is totally unacceptable. Finally, this Hotel definitely does not warrant the price they charge for their facilities and certainly not their star rating. Unfortunately I will NOT be recommending this Hotel.
