The location and staff was friendly even though it was busy

Cons:

Carpet not hoovered, bathroom floor not cleaned. Therfore the room felt it wasn't ready for new occupants and made my partner feel uncomfortable.

I would love to stay in this Hotel again for a longer period.
Pros:

The Hotel was very clean and nicely decorated, the Staff were excellent, very friendly and attentive, the food was excellent, and reasonably priced.
This is a real pub with real people, rather than a plastic pub with plastic people, and because of that there were several nice regular customers eating even though it was a Tuesday evening,

They made arrangements for us to check in later due to being stranded at the last minute.

Cons:

We were in Room 11 and the cleanliness was extremely poor. Dirty cushions, hairs on and in the bed, no mattress protector, cobwebs at side of the bed, empty biscuit wrapper at the side of the bed, tea/coffee splatters over the wall, bed base in very poor condition with leather peeling off it all the way round, toothpaste down the tiles at the sink, soap scum over the wall of the shower, flush stopped working during the night and upon inspecting the cistern we found a small glass wine bottle filled with water in the bottom of the cistern ! TV that was precariously mounted on the wall was not stable and was loosely squint which couldn’t be safely amended by hand.
As reception was not manned after check in we were unable to report any of these issues and on check out we arrived at reception in the hope of explaining our disappointment and concerns with the room to find no one there and after waiting a few minutes the reception phone begin ringing and a man appeared and said hi to use before saying I need to get this call as I’m hoping it’s a booking of 20!
We were left standing there as he turned his back on us whilst chatting on the phone for a few minutes. We got sick of waiting and looking at the back of his head and we then spotted the key deposit box so we dropped the key in and left. With being suddenly stranded due to unforeseen circumstances we were unable to charge our phones to enable us to take pictures of the room and to be charged £108 for the night added insult to injury. I’ve stayed in many many hotels with various star ratings from 2-5 and I’ve never in my life experienced anything as bad as this.

Friendly helpful and genuine, unlike some places that staff are fake. The food was tasty and great portions and price was perfect . Breakfast was great as well.
The hotel was clean and comfy , rooms were well set out , comfy and everything you could ask for .
Well priced and cant ask for anything more.
We stayed at a more expensive hotel in town the night before, the uplamoore was of a much better standard and would recommend

Comfortable and relaxed. We enjoyed stopping for a drink in the evening at the bar

The staff were great. The room was quiet and peaceful and clean

Cons:

The breakfast was the only complaint. As there was not very many guests during our stay I think a bigger effort could have been made, but we enjoyed our stay overall

Nice place. Nice staff.
Pros:

Breakfast was great. Staff were really helpful and friendly. Room was a good size and was clean. Bar/restaurant was good and notices were there stating that it was runner up in tv 4 in a bed and that a tv drama had been filmed there.
