Pros:

It was in a good location. It was very clean. Although the room was a bit dated. I think the hotel is a work in progress.

Cons:

Not having a bar, or the availability of a breakfast meal. But not to worry there are enough eating places within a couple of minutes walk

Lerick is small with little choice to make it better: just enjoy the beauty of the people & the islands
Pros:

Staff were very kind & accommodating! They did their very best with a place that has seen better days

Cons:

The place stank of a mixture of mould and deep fry: made me nauseous so they put us up in the Grand Hotel next door which had a better smell & again LOVELY Staff!

The location is great

Cons:

The room was very small and there is a gigantic wardrobe that needs to be removed.
The tiny TV in the corner of the room up high on a wall is useless- too small a screen.
There needs to be a bar or restaurant as there is no fridge.
You are basically paying for a room.

Perfect location. It’s a quirky old fashioned hotel but it’s lovely. Bed so comfortable. The room had everything I neede
Pros:

Quirky and had the most amazing view. It is in the process of some work but I ignored the previous reviews. Absolutely happy with my stay. Great help with bags being carried to my room. Plenty of coffee/tea etc.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Queens Hotel. Staff were excellent.
Pros:

The location is fabulous. Right in the heart of Lerwick. Walking distance to everything. Right on the water, with excellent views of the harbour.

Cons:

The plumbing (toilet flush) was a bit temperamental.

Pros:

The view was fabulous. The staff were really helpful and carried my bag for me. It was great to have a room to leave it in, having come off the ferry. They organised a taxi for me as well.. I loved having a bath.

Cons:

No power point for my toothbrush. No breakfast or bar and yet it was an expensive room. The decor was tired looking as were the towels . I expected a lot more for my money. I needed help with my bag on the stairs, thanks to the receptionist!

Thoroughly enjoyed Shetland and Lerwick.
Pros:

The hotel was handy to town. Most things were within easy walking distance. We had a room that looked over Bain's beach and the harbour so we could watch what was going on around us.

Cons:

The room was smallish so not a lot of room for two suitcases. The restaurant was not open when we visited but there were plenty of options in town.
