Excellent , comfortable and friendly small hotel in a more local neighbourhood of Lyon
Pros:

Reception staff always pleasant and helpful. Room not huge, but well designed and plenty of space for luggage. Very well designed bathroom, with lovely big shower - and heated towel rail positioned so you could grab a towel easily without stepping outside the shower cabinet. View over rooftops, with swallows circling at twilight. Still and sparkling water on tap in lobby to fill your own bottle. Comfortable bed and pillows. Location was good for us - on the right hand side of the Rhone, near the Brotteaux district, which has more of a local feel. About 10 minutes walk from a bridge across the Rhone, and 6 minutes to the nearest metro station. We were there for 6 nights - possibly not such a good location for anyone staying just 1 or 2, as the presqu'ile and vieux lyon areas have a lot more, (and much busier/more crowded) places to eat. so easier to find somewhere quickly. We didn't order breakfast in advance but decided to try it on our last day and enjoyed the range and freshness of the buffet offerings.

Cons:

Very individual preference - toilet was much too high for comfort. Magnifying mirror was also fixed too high to be of use to a shorter person

Stylish no nonsense hotel with access to a neighborhood gym.
Pros:

A reasonably stylish hotel with nice layout. The room was quiet (as I requested). The big asset was free card access to a full service neighborhood gym, I wish more hotels would do this.

Cons:

Nothing really. I underestimated the walk from the main station (Part Dieu), that's my problem.
