Nice semi-luxury stay in Cyprus with pool and spa facilities
Pros:

The pool is a highlight. It's lovely to lie outside on a lounger and refresh yourself in the cooling pool. The website says the pool is for over 18's but we found that not to be true but didn't ruin our experience. There is a wonderful spa downstairs in the hotel with massage treatments, a gym, hairdresser, nail salon and sauna facilities. I would highly recommend checking this out. I got one of the best massages I've ever had here, the facilities are wonderful. The breakfast buffet is great, lots of hot and cold options and you can enjoy it sat on the terrace outside. Shops and pharmacy nearby with a late-night bakery round the corner.

Cons:

We were given a room right at the end of a corridor which turned out to be next to the staff room, every morning at either 6am or 8am the cleaners would wake us up with the sound of them talking or moving their cleaning equipment loudly. We mentioned this to someone at reception but nothing was done further about it. We were staying at the Ajax for a wedding and got back late one evening, so to be woken up early was not great.
The room also comes with really hard pillows, after pushing a little at reception and after they said they had no different pillows they managed to find a slightly softer option. No one asked how our stay was when we checked out, so we had no further opportunity to mention the noise next to our room.
