The staff were pleasant, but under resourced
Booked a double bed, Pilgrims provided a twin room. They blamed Booking.com and said it was unclear. The sink in the wash hand basin in the bathroom did not work, so with it in, the water still drained away. The socket next to the bed did not work, I plugged in my mobile phone charger, and the plug fell out of the socket. They put a fan in for the hot weather, but did not have enough electrics, so you had to unplug the kettle or the tv to plug in the fan. They should have put in a 4 gang extension cable. we could not drive to the hotel to unload our luggage, and the car park was 8 minutes walk away. The hotel was not suitable for disabled guests, one of us has a blue badge.
Friendly staff and great location
Car park not too far away
Breakfast room needed background music as it was like a waiting room 😬
Excellent choice of breakfast.
Shower was tricky to adjust, gave up in end.
Good location
Breakfast was outstanding.
Public area-contact with staff.
Very good location.
No air conditioner and water in the shower eather boiling hot either ice cold.
The location, decor and comfort was great. The staff was exceptional. welcoming, helpful, friendly. Enhanced the entire experience. We will stay again if ever in Canterbury.
Location was wonderful close to the Cathedral, restaurants. The hotel had changed hands the day before we arrived so the new owners were trying to understand how the hotel worked, and given the circumstances went out of their way to make our stay the best.
The bed was so hard and very uncomfortable. Parking is paid for and about 4 minutes walk from the hotel. As the windows could not open properly the airflow in the rooms was restricted.
Excellent central location
All good
I expected something small, as I booked the cheapest room because that's all I can afford in England but this was smaller than small. I'm sure in the old days it was the cloakroom.
Perfect location for everything in Canterbury and a short walk from the station.
Comfortable room and bed. Very clean. Friendly staff.
Nice bar on the ground floor offering 10% discount on drinks.
There were a few little things in the room that should have been picked up on.... Kettle had a lot of build up in it... it must be a hard water area, likewise taps and shower head. Handle on the inside of the shower was missing.
Would have been nice to have a small table and chair, there was space in the room. But nothing that spoiled the stay.
