It was my birthday and we were upgraded in our room choice which was a nice touch. Even though one of the lifts wasnt working, we had no problem or timing issues with the lift service and we were on the eighth floor
Staff was cheerful!
The room we were in had the worst mattress I have ever come across in any hotel that I have stayed in over the years. It wasn't just sagging, the mattress was actually broken from the middle. Both beds felt like they'd been purchased second hand - they creaked. I was almost scared that they would collapse at some point during the night. Poor show for Marriot!
Food was good.
On first day there was a large bus tour that meant no seating. Struggled to access food. Coffee was poor.
First class breakfast….scrambled eggs excellent
