Good staff, but the property is old.
Pros:

The staff were very helpful and friendly.

Cons:

The property is very old. Also, for the shower, I think the hotel use water from the sea, so the water is very salty and after taking shower you won't feel fresh. I am not sure whether it is common practice or not in Mombasa, but it is bit uncomfortable. In fact, I stayed in a hotel in Nyali area where they have fresh water for shower.

Beautiful old hotel in the heart of Mombasa
Pros:

I loved the old building and its character, the balcony was also a great touch and stayed out there enjoying the view most of my evening and morning.

Friendly, but not really what we had expected.
Pros:

The staff were really helpful and friendly. The hotel pool was very nice on the roof, with loungers and cabanas. Interesting old building.

Cons:

The hotel website said the room had mosquito nets, but there were none, the TV had no channels, the view was described as city, but our room looked out over the back of the hotel. The shower flooded the bathroom floor, as the shower curtain was not long enough.

Pros:

Unser Zimmer war sehr geräumig und sauber. Der Balkon war überdacht total super. Es gab eine große Frühstücksauswahl. Das Essen war super lecker. Wir wurden mit einem Erfrischungsgetränk empfangen. Das Personal war super freundlich. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Great location, friendly staff. Good value for money
Pros:

Excellent location and breakfast. Wonderful staff. We didn't use the pool but looked great.

Cons:

Bar area seemed noisy as two TV's on playing two different soccer games. Otherwise a nice space

A peaceful haven in the heart of Mombasa.
Pros:

The room are very nice and comfortable, the staff is very friendly and helpful. I want to mention specially Meshack for his help at anytime. The location is perfect, 5min far in tuc tuc from fort jesus.
I believe this is the best place to stay en Mombassa!
