Best meal
Pros:

Excellent location, wonderful service (thank you Marianna and Moussa) - best meal we’ve had in Croatia! Beautifully cooked and fresh ingredients, wonderful atmosphere. It was perfect.

Trotz des ‘Premium'-Labels und der 5-Sterne-Auszeichnung entspricht dieser Aufenthalt absolut nicht dem versprochenen Luxusstandard. Während die Außenanlage und Meerblick überzeugen, sind Zimmerzustand und Service für den hohen Preis inakzeptabel.

Die Zimmer leiden unter massivem Verschleiß: Verkeimte Fugen, kalkige Duschköpfe, Flecken an Wänden und beschädigte Möbel zeigen mangelnde Instandhaltung. Der angepriesene ‚Turndown-Service' existiert faktisch nicht, und selbst Grundversorgung wie Kaffekapseln erfordert wiederholtes Nachfassen. Der Check-out war ein administratives Chaos mit falsch berechneten Rechnungen – die Mitarbeiter wirken überfordert und gleichgültig.

Der Pool-Bereich war überfüllt und schlecht gemanagt, das Essen bietet Massenware-Qualität zu Luxuspreisen. Einziger Pluspunkt ist der Balkonblick; ansonsten fehlt es an Raffinesse und Fürsorge. Wer echte Hochwertigkeit sucht, sollte hier fernbleiben. Es gibt in der Nähe deutlich günstigere Hotels mit besserer Qualität.

Lovely stay
Pros:

This is a fantastic hotel that really ticks all the main boxes - location, facilities and customer service. It’s a big place but the stay felt very personalised and all staff couldn’t do enough for you.

The location is perfect - equidistant between the old town and Lapad and so easy and convenient to get to both. We really enjoyed the pool area, sunbeds were generally available throughout the day. The pool was nice but best of all the direct access to the crystal clear sea was perfect.

We were really impressed with the service from staff, a truly 5 star experience. The breakfast was excellent - a huge choice of top quality options including gluten free and a relaxed and spacious environment.

The only minor feedback I have is the music volume on poolside which at times was excessively loud but again after feeding back this was addressed. Also the price of the poolside lunch menu was extortionate (which I appreciate comes with the territory). However there are plenty of decent food options for lunch within 5 mins of the hotel.

Amazing location & Super staff
Pros:

We have just returned from a weeks stay at the Rixos Premium Dubrovnik. We stayed in a superior sea view room & looking out from the balcony was stunning. My husband loved having the access to the sea & pool. We had an issue in our room which was dealt with extremely efficiently by Diana, which meant it did not take away from our experience. Breakfast was superb & I loved the piano being played in the background each morning. The WhatsApp service is such a great idea, staff cannot do enough for the guests!
We loved the walk into the old town, beautiful views all the way. The old town did not disappoint, just as fabulous in real life!
We have booked again for next year as I feel it is a perfect base for exploring the area, and I am truly in love with the view from this hotel 😍

I had an exceptional stay at Rixos and would like to express my sincere appreciation to the entire team for making my visit truly memorable.
A special thanks to Erkan (Manager) for his outstanding leadership, professionalism, and genuine care for guests. His attention to detail and commitment to delivering exceptional service were clearly reflected throughout the resort.
I would also like to recognize Franica, whose warm hospitality, friendly attitude, and dedication made a significant difference during my stay. She consistently went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect and that I felt welcomed at all times.
The resort itself is beautiful, with excellent facilities, outstanding dining options, and impeccable service standards. Every team member contributed to creating a luxurious and relaxing experience.

We had a Superior room. Unfortunately, the hotel is in urgent need of renovation: everything feels old and worn out, some things are broken, and there are cracks on the ceiling and walls.
The quality of cleaning deserves a separate comment. In the room, there was a thick layer of dust in the corners and on the door hinges. On the terrace, dirt had accumulated in the corners and under the sliding door.
The women’s restroom in the gym was simply terrible, with rust on the mirrors, broken sink.
Overall, this is absolutely not what you expect from a five-star hotel at this price level.
I would also like to point out that when I shared these comments with the manager at the reception desk during check-out, after he asked whether I had enjoyed my stay, he simply processed the payment in silence and did not comment on anything I had said.

A Truly Memorable Stay — Rixos Dubrovnik Delivers on Every Level

From the moment we arrived, the Rixos Dubrovnik set the tone for what turned out to be a genuinely outstanding stay. The lobby is immediately impressive — grand yet welcoming, with a warmth that feels effortless rather than corporate. It’s the kind of entrance that makes you feel like you’ve made the right choice before you’ve even reached the lift.

Our room was an absolute highlight. The sea views are breathtaking — floor-to-ceiling windows framing the Adriatic in all its brilliance, the kind of vista that makes you want to sit and do absolutely nothing for hours. The room itself was immaculate, beautifully appointed, and incredibly comfortable. Waking up to that view every morning genuinely felt like a privilege.

But what truly elevates this hotel above the competition is the quality of its people — and here I must give a special mention to Deniz at reception, who was, without question, one of the finest members of hospitality staff I have ever encountered. From our very first interaction, Deniz was attentive, warm, and exceptionally professional. Nothing was too much trouble. Whether it was a question, a request, or simply a quick chat, Deniz handled everything with a smile and a composure that was genuinely impressive. An absolute asset to this hotel, and exactly the kind of person who makes guests want to return. Rixos should consider themselves very lucky to have someone of that calibre on the team.

The overall experience — the setting, the accommodation, the atmosphere — is everything you’d hope for from a premium hotel in one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Dubrovnik already deals in high standards; the Rixos matches and exceeds them.
