We loved Dubrovnik. The hotel didn’t meet our expectations given the cost.
Pros:

Everything other than our room was great. Location was excellent

Cons:

The room constantly smelled of sewers, despite the hotel putting some nice smelling chemicals into the drains. We slept with the balcony door open to get fresh air. Also the room was a little bit ‘tired’ with an electric socket hanging out the wall and the table with broken trim. The balcony table had a broken leg.

Relaxing Stay
Pros:

The Rixos is a very nice hotel and has everything you could possibly want. We stayed for two nights following the end of our cruise, which was the perfect wind down. The pool and beach area is perfect for lazy days in the sun. There are plenty of food options within the hotel, and I highly recommend the tepinyaki. The dinner buffet is also excellent with plenty of options. The included breakfast buffet is fantastic.

Bit too far from Old Town, taxi or uber ride required

Hotel Rixos made our stay in Dubrovnik magical! Best hotel we have ever stayed at!!!
Pros:

Our view was spectacular!! The room was modern, clean and had a great balcony. The included breakfast was the best we've ever had in our travels. They had a dedicated gluten free section, fresh fruit and anything you could possibly want! The restaurants were fantastic, again with great views. The access to the Sea was really easy and the pool area was comfortable with lots of lounges and seating areas. It was the best hotel experience we have ever had, and we have travelled the world for 43 years. We highly recommend Hotel Rixos!!!

Cons:

The shower/tub combo was hard to get into. That's all!!! We really have nothing negative to say about Hotel Rixos!!

Great room with nice closet/storage space. Breakfast buffet had great selection.

Cons:

The design of the bathroom does not facilitate any shower privacy, despite booking a room with 2 beds, but otherwise the room was lovely. The hotel spa was lacking.
