Friendly personal service , enjoyed happy hours drinks and nibbles . The spa was always hot and staff excellent. Great location
Kia Ora,
The location was fabulous, and the complimentary breakfast, happy hour, and spa were fantastic bonuses. Overall, it was a beautiful place to stay, made even more special by the stunning views. Highly recommend.
Ngā mihi nui mō tō manaaki
Fantastic location, so warm and cozy , great breakfast and happy hour. Would highly recommend
Location and homeliness
Could get nosey with either neighbouring backpackers or local bars - this wasnt later than 10pm though
The location is excellent. The staff very welcoming. Liked the little extra snacks and drinks in the lounge. Quaint rustic building.
Nothing really.
Close to town and short walk to restaurants and bars. Happy hour at 5-6pm with complementary wine and beer was a hit.
Excellent location - we didn't use the car once we arrived. Breakfast was a great value inclusion.
Room was a bit small but given the downstairs lounge area and that we were out all day it didn't really matter.
Its all in the little things they do extra, unlimited lolly/tea/coffee/cool drinks, free happy hour every night with alcohol and cheese platters. Hot tub available and included in the room price. Gorgeous breakfast included and complimemtary mini bar with snacks and drink fir each room.
The location was perfection, 50m to the centre of the town and 50m to the luge and kiwi park etc.
This was the best hotel we have stayed in throughout our time in the South Island. Will definitely be back!
Nothing not to like.
Cosy. Clean. Amazing service. Great value for price.
早餐不错,离市中心很近
停车略微不便
The location, the staff and the comfortable rooms.
Nothing
Their website goes all out to sell itself as ‘boutique luxury’ so I was curious to see if it delivered.
Can’t fault the location.
We booked parking (limited & pricey).
Great building & limited number of guests. Fairly quiet although you can hear others coming & going in nearby rooms. Some street noise from passersby.
A limited view to the mountains & a carpark but window high enough that it didn’t bother us.
Nice touches such as the sweet station/coffee bar. Unable to heat up milk though!
Basic continental b’fast choices. Very very cold in this room & when I asked about heating, I was told that there wasn’t any!! Come-on this is an easy fix….plug in a heater.
Happy hour in the lovely lounge area also a great idea which people took advantage of but again….freezing in there. ‘Sink into a chair by the fire’, I wish we could have!! A gorgeous fireplace with no fire!! Everyone was complaining.
At first glance we liked the room (even if quite small) especially as your eye is drawn to the lovely, wallpapered ceiling.
However, after settling in, you notice other things. Remember they advertise “alpine-chic rooms, where bold design meets botanical flair. Curl up in cosy …..unwind in our sanctuaries”
Reality. Slightly grubby carpet.
“Adjustable mood lighting’, if they mean the dimmer switch then it didn’t work & the lighting was poor.
Bed comfy but not sure what ‘Naumi's signature bedding’ was.
Chipped brown tables. Hard to open wardrobe door.
One chair although nicely upholstered.
Brown curtains.
Large ornate mirror & a couple of coat hooks added nothing to the room
Bathroom. Small, shower good but again a cold room. Loo paper & tissues not replenished, had to ask.
Not easy to find reception area or any attending staff. More than one person wandering around looking lost!
I get the feeling that the hotel is run on a day-to-day basis by ‘back-packers’.
This could be an exceptional hotel just as advertised, focus on the essentials & the customer service.
It’s not quite there & based on our room it needs some updating.
Great vibe. Loved the happy hour opportunity to meet other guests. Very helpful staff.
