Here at The Victoria Hotel we are city center located in Eyre Square Galway, next to the bus and train station. It offers spacious rooms with attached bathroom, a restaurant and a full service bar in Queen Street, Galway's newest Gastro bar.

Rooms at the hotel are decorated in warm colors and feature private bathrooms and hairdryers. They also include a TV and facilities for making tea and coffee. Free Wi-Fi is available in public areas of the hotel.

Our guests can benefit from a special overnight parking rate at the nearby Q-Park multi-story car park located on Merchants Road.

Here at The Victoria Hotel we pride ourselves on fresh elements through our fresh, cooked to order dishes. Our exciting menu's cater for all dietary requirements along with vegetarian and vegan options available as well throughout the day.

Our Breakfast service is offered in our Restaurant from 7.30am until 10am midweek and from 8am until 11am at the weekends. Come try our hot food menu all cooked to order for each plate.

At our Queen Street Gastro bar we open from 10am every morning for our fantastic barista style coffee's and our freshly made café option's. We offer our Lunch menu from 12pm until 3.45pm Monday to Sunday, our Á la carte menu from 4pm until 8.45pm. Along with our fresh menus along and our signature cocktail menu we ensure you experience Queen Street at its very best.

We are located just off Eyre Square with all major attractions and tour operators departing nearby. If you have any questions please feel free to contact us. Our Front Office team is available from 7.30am until 11pm everyday, we are always more than happy to help.Guests are required to show a photo ID and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply.

Pros:

The hotel location is very convenient from train station and the breakfast was very nice.

Cons:

It was Saturday night and the noise coming into the window from outside was bad until 2am.
The price was a little pricey.

Perfectly fine for a city break but our room had nothing special to recommend it
Pros:

Location v good. Room was standard set up and absolutely fine but completely lacking atmosphere. Breakfast room v nice/ self service. Staff v helpful.

Cons:

Room was v dark and long and thin.
The bar not inviting as also dark all day long

Pros:

The staff was great! Especially Shobuhm and Anmanuel in the bar were extremely friendly and entertaining.

Cons:

No conditioner, pillows were hard and flat, shower towels not big enough to wrap around your body. Noisier area than anticipated.

This is a wonderful hotel in the heart of Galway, walkable to all Galway attractions.
Pros:

The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The staff very helpful. We took the train to Galway and the hotel is just around the corner. It is also very close and walkable to all Galway attractions.

Cons:

Insgesamt war unser Aufenthalt im Victoria Hotel in Galway absolut in Ordnung.

Sehr positiv ist die Kooperation mit einem nahegelegenen Parkhaus. Dieses befindet sich ungefähr 500 Meter vom Hotel entfernt und als Hotelgast erhält man einen vergünstigten Preis. Gerade bei der zentralen Lage ist das definitiv ein Pluspunkt.

Der Empfang war freundlich und unkompliziert, hier hat alles bestens funktioniert. Das Zimmer war ebenfalls vollkommen in Ordnung. Man sieht zwar an einigen Stellen bereits gewisse Abnutzungsspuren, insgesamt war aber alles sauber und zweckmässig.

Das Frühstück war okay und bot alles, was man für den Start in den Tag braucht. Beim Servicepersonal wäre etwas mehr Freundlichkeit beziehungsweise das eine oder andere Lächeln schön gewesen – das würde die Atmosphäre beim Frühstück noch deutlich angenehmer machen.

Alles in allem ein solides Hotel in sehr guter Lage, bei dem das Gesamtpaket für einen Aufenthalt in Galway absolut passt.

Decent place to stay in Galway.
Pros:

This hotel was centrally located close to Eyre Sq. I had the best pesto pasta and a good cosmo in the restaurant but service was slow- in fairness it was crowded and they looked short staff.
You have to park blocks away but this is true with many city accommodations. 😑Room was small but it had a bath and lots of hot water and bed was comfy. Only 1 elevator. Don’t know if I’d stay here again but maybe for a night to easily see the square on foot and old quarter….could work.

Amazing walkable location, fantastic proximity to transit options, and lovely, helpful staff.

Cons:

I booked a Single room on Booking.com and it was not evident that that would translate to a windowless room at the property. Not sure if that's a Booking issue or a property issue.

Also they have a huge, well-designed bar on the ground level, but it sits largely empty with a lonely sign that reads "please wait to be seated." The one night I visited, the two workers talked mostly to each other and largely ignored their guests.
