Definitely worth staying here if you are visiting the area

Service is above and beyond!
Pros:

We stayed recently at the Emmet to attend a wedding at another hotel
5km away. We had stayed at the Emmet before and had liked it. We were told be could check-in early (11:30). After checking in we were having trouble getting a taxi to take us to the wedding. The owner saw our predicament and told us not to worry. He got his car and drove us there personally. So nice of him!

Pros:

Fabulous location, 10 minutes from incydony & dunmore house where lots of weddings would be taking place , helpful staff , nice spacious rooms ,clonakilty in general is a great spot for a weekend away. Would definitely stay again.

2 night stay
Pros:

We stayed here for 2 nights as we had a wedding in Dunmore house and from the minute we checked in we recieved such a warm welcome from all the staff. Our rooms were also ready ahead of check in which was a massive bonus . The rooms were spacious and cosy and the candle we received on check out was a very cute touch! We are back down here again in August for another wedding and we look forward to staying here again .

Excellent family run hotel with a warm welcome
Pros:

Friendly, comfortable and delightful staff.

The room was rather warm at night though it wasn’t particularly hot weather. we had to use the fan

Pros:

Beautiful hotel really close to Clonakilty centre.
Ideal location.
Staff were impeccable, really friendly and the breakfast was great.

Wonderful staff
Pros:

We had amazing one night stay here last weekend with our 5 month old. The staff were very welcoming, friendly and accommodating. The location is perfect, walking distance to everywhere in town. Rooms were clean and the breakfast was lovely with amazing staff. We will be back.

Would not stay here again because of these issue

couldn't watch the TV because of interference. Menu choice poor and food portions small.
Breakfast menu lacking and again portion small and poorly cooked. meals coming from the kitchen on the first morning slow. s.

Wonderful stay in beautiful hotel
Pros:

Excellent stay for 5 nights 23rd -28th May inclusive.
From arriving all team members focussed on meeting all requirements.
Room spacious …wonderfully comfortable bed and excellent shower.
Basics are done INCREDIBLY WELL here.Spotlessly clean.
But on top of that a real personal touch…family feel …Rebecca owner describes her team as “ my girls” and that comes across in the team’s great commitment to high quality service.
We ate in bar on first evening…food was first class and reasonably priced.
Perfect location to explore all aspects of the town.
Breakfast provided was plentiful, delicious and all particular requests met.
Very calm and relaxing atmosphere.
Particular thanks to Sinead and Caoimhe for helpful nature and always meeting with requests with “ no bother” …..and going off and sorting us out.
If fortunate to visit West Cork again ….this family run hotel would be our go to.
Faultless.

Pleasent quite and very accomadating
Pros:

Had a great stay at the emmet, The room was spotless 5 star for the cleaning staff, All the staff where great, very pleaseant and helpful, breakfast was great even missed one morning by an hr, but they where amazingly kind and done us breakfast, without even a blink of an eye nothing was to much. Would stY here again if visiting the area.

What a lovely place
Pros:

Amazing location right in the heart of town, parking right outside the front door, so convenient. Lovely lady on the front desk who was so friendly and helpful. Gorgeously laid out hotel, room was so comfortable with great space, and had a fan for the warm weather which was much needed! Shower had great power and lovely toiletries too. Can’t fault anything.
