Posizione ottima, vicina al centro.
We were traveling with my mom (who uses a walker), so we requested a larger room with 2 beds and on the main floor. There were a few steps up to the main floor of the hotel, but the steps were wide enough for my mom to walk up; breakfast is in the basement, but since there's a small elevator, we had no problem getting our breakfast (full English breakfast (with beans and mushrooms) was cooked based on our request; pastries and drinks served buffet-style). We are thankful that they allowed us to use this breakfast area to sit with a local Londoner for a catch-up visit (and they showed us the kitchen area and items to have afternoon tea). We flew in for a cruise out of Southampton but wanted to travel a bit beforehand, so the hotel graciously held our larger cruise luggage plus a couple of carryon luggage for 6 days. We returned and stayed the night before our cruise (and to pick up our stored luggage).
For the English breakfast, eggs were only cooked 1 way: fried (hard) eggs.
I temporarily lost my credit card (which I later found) and reported both lost and found activities. Unfortunately, since I reserved but hadn't yet paid for the 2nd reservation (1 night before the cruise), Booking.com automatically cancelled the reservation. I would've appreciated a direct call (instead of an email) from Booking.com. Fortunately, after I called the hotel directly, the folks there understood the situation and provided us with an available room that worked for my mom.
Convenient location, polite staff, clean rooms.
Would have liked Tea and coffee in the room, it was available in the kitchen in the basement if required.
Hotel très agréable, personnel efficace et gentil, quartier agreable
Le fait de pouvoir prendre le soir notre repas froid dans la salle du petit dejeuner
Nice location, friendly staff.
Sooooo hot all night, no AC. No potable water in the room. A miserable room with direct sunlight keeping it unbearable to try to rest.
Lovely staff and very clean, with good breakfast :). Had a lovely time for our week trip to London.
Nothing !
The hotel was clean and in a great location.
The room was very small with old furniture and a bed which rolled you out if near the edge. Fried food or cake style food were the main breakfast options.
Localização e simpatia dos funcionários
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the St Simeon Hotel and would happily return.
This is a quintessential English Victorian townhouse hotel in a fantastic Kensington location, perfectly situated between bus routes and nearby Tube stations, making it ideal for exploring London.
Although officially a 2-star hotel, we found it extremely comfortable, spotlessly clean, and excellent value for money. Our room overlooked a quiet mews and was remarkably peaceful, allowing for a great night's sleep despite being in central London.
The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming throughout our stay and always happy to help.
Breakfast was a real highlight: fresh fruit every morning, a freshly prepared small Full English breakfast, and excellent strong coffee to start the day.
If you're looking for a charming, traditional London hotel with character, comfort, and a superb location, St Simeon is hard to beat. Highly recommended.
Nothing here, really we found nothing to "moan" about
