Pros:

Bahnreisende sollten nichts erwarten.

A very enjoyable four day stay in Cornwall, at a lovely hotel, to celebrate my 80th birthday.
Pros:

It was a lovely hotel on a quiet road, with a beautiful view of the sea from the front. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and there was plenty of parking.

Cons:

Perhaps a fan in the room would have been nice, as the weather was exceptionally hot.

Very british
Pros:

Great location and views
Pros:

The location was easily accessible and had beautiful views. It was very central so it didn't take long to get to local places as well as places further away.

The staff were very friendly and there was always someone available to help answer any questions we had. They were accommodating and curtious to everyone.

I would highly recommend staying here and we would gladly go again.

Liked the sea view & location, otherwise disappointing and poor value compared to pr hotel.
Pros:

Good location and room with sea view. Plenty of free and easy parking. Good location but beach not easily accessible

Cons:

Everything else, not in the likes. Facilities poor. Very basic and limited tea and coffee. Room was stifling hot and no fan. Apart from the sea view, the room had nothing else, no pictures and the double glazing had failed, so lower windows wrre misty. It was noisy from early each morning. Banging, clattering, loud voices outside, crunching of gravel by people walking and car tyres, as the rough carpark also at front of house. No breakfast included. Overall poor value for money. Moody manager. Beach not easily accessible from hotel. Note; exit room by 10am.

Won't go back
Pros:

The location is superb and the views across the bay are stunning

Cons:

The chairs in our room were badly stained and dirty, to the extent that we didn't even want to leave our clothes on them, never mind sit on them. The divan base was torn in several places which really just needed a valance to cover it but a lot of it felt like the owners aren't bothered. Breakfast was very poor. We certainly wouldn't go back.

Disappointing. The website is misleading. Find somewhere else.
Pros:

Position of hotel is excellent and view wonderful.

Cons:

The car park is rough and dusty; room keys and directions to them given at Reception but no help with bags offered. I am 80. Room 34 was small and airless even for a single room, with mould evident on the ceiling of the tiny bathroom, a radiator leaking into a plastic container, no plug in the washbasin, no tea/coffee facility. The bed was so hard and lumpy that I did not get to sleep until 3.30am having turned around to put feet where head should be. After breakfast I complained and was moved to a twin room which was much better, although the television could not get a signal and the shower was in an old corner bath and functioned off the taps which had to be adjusted for heat of water. The bed had a mattress topper on it, which is probably what was missing from the one in the single room. We had supper in the hotel on Sunday. Fish very overcooked. When I got home I found I had not packed a top which I had been wearing the previous day. I had forgotten that I hung it in a wardrobe. I immediately rang the hotel and someone went to check the room. It was not there. A final infuriation to add to the least pleasant stay I’ve ever had in any hotel anywhere. No financial concession for that first, ghastly night.

"Disappointing" doesn't really cover it....
Pros:

The hotel has lovely sea views and the reception staff do a great job in what must be trying circumstances.

Cons:

We had the misfortune to encounter the owner who was reluctant to fix the window in our room which malfunctioned just before we were due to go out: I went to close it and it partially collapsed. As there was no safe in the room, overall security had been compromised. On asking the owner about this, my wife was met with a "what do you want me to do about it?" attitude and a reluctance to even look at the problem. After some back and forth, he asked whether my wife "had a pot of gold" before assuring her that there was no crime in the area, despite Sea Road possessing million-pound properties.

We were not reassured although he did fix the window during our absence. The room itself had dated and faded decor; the bedding consisting of a top sheet and a blanket. We didn't partake of the bar nor the restaurant and didn't bother with the included continental breakfast on the morning after our arrival. The receptionist told us that a cooked breakfast could be ordered for £12.50 a head but we decided againist. Indeed, the hotel seemed very quiet and we didn't see anyone dining or using the bar. Upon reflection, we decided to cut our losses and checked-out the next day; cutting our losses and moving to the much-better Pier House In Charlestown. We were later informed that the hotel had been sold and would be demolished. The staff were well-acquainted with the shitty attitude of the owner and seemed resigned to their impending redudancy.

Lovely views disappointing hotel after 6 hours travelling
Pros:

View and location faultless staff really lovely rooms were clean and towels where soft large and clean very white

Cons:

Tired decor and in need of serious update. Beds two put together no mattress topper to assist with join
were also very hard and uncomfortable if you have back-issue. Buffet breakfast was basic and not a lot of choice.
