Breakfast was wonderful. Varied choice of fruits and pastries. Cooked breakfast was served quickly and was wonderful. I had a different cooked breakfast each morning and each was exceptional. Staff really friendly and efficient. All clean and plates cleared really quicly.
Wonderful view from our room and gardens beautiful.
Noisy rooms. We had someone above our room walking up and down and moving things around. This could all be heard really easily. Water noisy when anyone flushed toilets or use the wash basins.
Staff superb. Facilities excellent. One of the better IoW hotels. Don't expect London chic, but instead, a well-run (all-round) authentic English seaside hotel. I'll certainly be booking again the next time I'm on the IoW
The food was good.. but I think a little more creativity/finish/thought could be added to make this a 'destination' hotel.
The location and view.
The property is in need of a refresh and is outdated. It has great potential but the decor is tired.
The view and the garden and the balcony were truly wonderful. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful, going above and beyond to help my husband when he needed some medical assistance with a cut he got while out and about. Lovely atmosphere generally.
Mostly the dinners were great - just one night not so good. A little bit more clarity about how to access the outside pool would be helpful. Parking is a bit tight if you have access issues just getting out of your car, but I can’t see how that can be changed.
Every thing you needed has been provided.
The staff were professional and very friendly and helpful. The restaurant staff were exceptional, I’ve not seen such silver service waiting standards like that for a long time.
The food was lovely both breakfast and evening meals. The gardens are absolutely amazing beautifully manicured and a pleasure to be in, loved listening to the water feature and watching the fish.
Loved the indoor pool and 80’s games room too.
The room we were in was up an additional flight of stairs that was very narrow. Just something to mention if someone had mobility issues.
view and friendly staff and good value
Excellent breakfast
Friendly staff
Great location and facilities with swimming pools and games room.
Car parking can be tight. But goo do number of charge points.
Lovely few days at Luccombe Hall Hotel. Cannot fault anything. The staff were all friendly and helpful and always made a point of acknowledging you. We stayed in an executive room and it was excellent with great views of the gardens and sea and a large veranda, robes and slippers, coffee/tea/water and fresh fruit were provided in the room. Breakfast was excellent with a large choice and other meals-lunch/dinner were available. There is an indoor swimming pool and sauna free to use and although we didnt have children there is a large selection of game tables/machines and toys for all ages. The outdoor pool wasnt open when we were there due to early season but looked very inviting.
Cannot think of anything that could be faulted.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Wonderful location within easy walking distance of Shanklin village. Beautiful gardens. Excellent breakfast and evening meal. Easy parking.
Unable to open bathroom window. Games room too dark to play a serious table-tennis match.
My room was stunning as was the view.
Comfortable bed, great food and service.
Room and hotel very clean
Undergoing a refit in many areas but disruption to patrons minimal if at all.
Both shift managers were extremely helpful with local places to walk/ visit
Highly recommend staying here
Couldn’t fault anything during my stay
The staff were fantastic, the indoor pool and hot tub were a god send after a few days of walking
Bit tricky to get to
The staff are super friendly and helpful.
Couldn’t fault it.
Staff very professional and extremely helpful. The hotel was very clean and the location was very good for all shops and attractions in Shanklin. Breakfast was tasty and well presented. Would recomment.
Not very much, but did think the swimming/sauna area should have its own entrance as opposed to coming through the bar area.
