Don't stay here you will not enjoy it stay away from the 5th floor

Staff member allocated a room next to the lift when we specifically asked for a room away from the lift. Another member of staff relocated our room but we came down to receptionat 23.00 complaining about a water noise like a drain pouring out water but it wasnt raining, it was a drain outside our room. The night manager said he couldn't move us because the hotel was full
So we got 3 or 4 hours sleep. On checking out in the morning I complained about the problem the same guy who tried to put us next to the lift wasn't interested he just wanted us to pay. This is a dark old fashioned hotel and the staff on reception are a total waste of time unprofessional and unresponsive

Beautiful hotel
Pros:

Beautiful authentic hotel, clean, has everything that you would need for a comfortable stay. Location just outside the central station and with all other amenities like restaurants and shopping just a short walk away, definitely will stay again.
Very nice staff at reception and breakfast.

Cons:

The mattress could be a bit softer but it's only because I have back issues because my husband slept like a baby.
