Hotel Bologna

The location is excellent - just a couple of minute's walk from the amphitheater and the historic town centre. Our room was recently decorated, clean quiet and comfortable. The staff were helpful. The breakfast was good. Only possible comment, the room was quite small, which is common for city centre hotels in Italy, and it didn't bother us. Very fair value.

We stayed one night at this hotel while visiting the area. We loved our short visit to Verona. The staff at this hotel was great. We spoke mostly with Annabel but the other younger guy (didn’t get his name) was super helpful as well. We were staying while celebrating my husbands birthday and we were given a room upgrade and prosecco was waiting for us in the room when we returned for the night. The property felt very clean. My only negative is while the room (112) felt very clean… our room had somewhat of a musty smell. Other than that, the location is super convenient to all the attractions and restaurants in the city. We will have to come back to Verona one of these days!

The location is superb! All of the hotel is so clean and fresh, house keeping is impeccable. Samson was so helpful and polite.
Reception staff are all welcoming and informative, Annabelle and Alessandro were hard working and so friendly.

Centrally located, clean, quiet superb hotel. Traveled on my own before a business trip and the people at the front desk were super friendly and helpful. I paid for the inclusive breakfast option and it was so worth it. The breakfast room was beautiful and there were many food choices available at the large buffet.

This is a lovely small boutique hotel right in the center of Verona. It says its 3 star but I would rate it as 4+ The room was very comfortable. Breakfast buffet was excellent. Just steps from the hotel is the city square and the famous Roman arena. Could not ask for a better location. I highly recommend

On a recent trip to Verona to attend the Summer Opera Season in the Arena we booked to stay three nights at Hotel Bologna.
What a great choice it was.
The Hotel is superbly located close to the Arena but far enough away to be out of the main traffic fair.
The Hotel is a classic property but well maintained and with outstanding staff and service.
The breakfast is plentiful with a wonderful selection of traditional and Italian options.
The rooms may be seen to be on the small side however we found them to be more than adequate and the location and service by the staff makes this hotel a real gem in Verona.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this quaint hotel located so close to the famous Opera House Arena. The hotel staff, especially Alessandro, did an exceptional job of making us feel welcome when we arrived after a long day of travel. The room was comfortable and quiet, and we felt very safe in this hotel. The continental breakfast included in our travel package was delicious and included a large selection of hot and cold delicacies. I would highly recommend staying at this friendly hotel if you are traveling to Verona.

Great location being a stones throw from the Arena. The staff were pleasant if a little aloof. The room was tiny for two people, and the ensuite was so small that you couldn't open the shower door fully as it hit off the toilet. It was exceptionally clean and if fact the friendliest and most helpful person there was the the girl cleaning the rooms. The breakfast is provided by an adjoining restaurant, and while it was a lovely spread, we found the staff rude and didn't like being asked questions. You were offered one cup of coffee/tea on arrival, what your room number was, and anything beyond that seemed a chore. It was an expensive hotel. We won't be back.

Our room was a little small, but that did not take away our overall satisfaction with the hotel. We had a great stay.

I went to Verona primarily to attend the opera. This hotel is roughly 50 steps away from the Arena di Verona, where it is performed. So, great location near the venue and near Piazza Bra and boat loads of shopping. The shower in my room was messed up. The way the water came out of the handle and/or shower head, caused great leaks across the floor. I had to use all of my towels to mop it up and then had wet towels drying in my room. I tried to get the cleaning staff to take the wet towels, but the language barrier prevented that from happening. Everyone was nice. The room was pleasant. Some of the furniture was a bit too big for the space and it was easy to hit one’s foot on the bed frame leg. Still, I recommend this hotel because overall it has a nice outdoor breakfast area and was comfortable and is in a good location.
