The Location
The city tax. It was based on a 5 star hotel, so more expensive. But Eliseo felt more like a 4 or 3 star hotel.
Nothing was good.
BEDBUGS!!
We are absolutely horrified by our experience at Hotel Eliseo in Rome. What was supposed to be a relaxing stay turned into one of the most disgusting and humiliating hotel experiences we have ever had.
From the very moment we arrived, we were met with shocking arrogance and complete disrespect from the man at reception. After arriving exhausted from a flight, we politely asked for water, and instead of offering basic hospitality, he barely even looked at us and coldly told us to go outside and buy some ourselves. This behaviour was unbelievably rude and unacceptable for any hotel, let alone one claiming to be 4 stars.
He then arrogantly informed us that our room was not ready and that we could only enter at 2 PM, forcing us to sit in the entrance hall in front of everyone after travelling. While waiting there, we immediately noticed a dead cockroach on the floor in the lobby. That alone should have been enough warning.
Then, only 10 minutes later, the same receptionist suddenly came back and said the room was actually ready after all. The lack of organisation was already alarming.
The moment we stepped into the corridor, we were hit with a terrible smell of mould and humidity. When we entered the room, we were genuinely in shock. We paid €742 for a room that was absolutely NOT worthy of a 4-star hotel. The room smelled awful. The bedsheets were dirty and covered in hair. The decoration was old, creepy and depressing, and the bathroom literally smelled like urine. Everything felt filthy and neglected.
We immediately complained at reception, and the man told us that perhaps at 2 PM they could move us to a suite “to apologise.” Shockingly, the suite was even worse.
There were BEDBUGS everywhere. The sheets had blood stains, pubic hair, strange marks and visible dirt. The entire room felt unhygienic and unsafe. The bathroom remained disgusting and clearly not cleaned properly.
La posizione
Camere fatiscenti e vecchie. Doccia inutilizzabile. Battiscopa staccato dal muro.
The location is great
The room stinks like somebody was smocking in it for many years, everything is really old. When I tried to boil a kettle in the room the lights went off.
Posizione ottima.
Rapporto qualità prezzo: buono x i livelli di Roma

Troppo vecchio
Ottima posizione e personale gentile, cordiale e preparato.
