Don't stay half board
Pros:

We stayed at this hotel as part of Newmarket Holidays. The hotel is clean, and welcoming, and provides a quiet stay. However, evening meals are not up to much... repetitive, unimaginative and served at a narrow time of their convenience. Buffet breakfasts were identical every day. However, they did provide gluten free options as pre-booked.

Bedrooms are basic with hard beds and no tea making facilities, although we were prepared for this and brought our own European kettle.

Sorrento is a fair old distance walk along a dangerously busy road with no pavement.

DO NOT BOOK!!!
Pros:

DO NOT BOOK!!!!

Just returned from this hotel and can honestly say it is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in.
There is NO hot water so you are unable to take a shower, other guests stated they were washing in the swimming pool instead!
When raising this the valid concern, the staff were rude and unprofessional.

Would definitely recommend visiting Sorrento, however do yourself a favour and stay elsewhere.

Clean, friendly and comfortable!
Pros:

This hotel is 15/20 minute walk from the centre of Sorrento. An ideal quiet location away from the hustle and bustle of Sorrento and minus the traffic noise. The atmosphere is quiet. There is no entertainment. There is limited seating outside of the restaurant by the bar area which is very small. The restaurant is very cosy so you make friends quite easily as they are sat next to you. I personally found the restaurant very warm. The food was ok, not always the hottest but mostly tasty and very much Italian. My main gripe would be that pork was offered 5 nights of the 7. Breakfast was always the same. Bread, some cold meats, yoghurts and cereals. There was some warmed up ham and scrambled egg. The rooms were large and clean. The beds were a little creaky and a little hard (though my wife liked the fact they were stiff). The hotel has a pool but we did not use this. The staff here ane probably the most friendliest and helpful staff of any hotel I have stayed at. Outside of the hotel there are several bars and restaurants within a ten minute walk. There is also within a 2/3 minute walk a beautiful spot to view the stunning sunset.

Traditional Family Run Hotel
Pros:

Hotel is a traditional, family run property in a quiet setting with coastal and sea views across the pool. It's an easy walk into Sorrento as long as you cross at the zebra and keep to the pavements (there is only one place where you have to walk in the wide gutter) taking about 20 mins.
I had a small single room and en suite but the balcony view was incredible, especially the sun sets.
Staff were helpful and friendly (especially housekeeping who kept everywhere immaculate) and the meals just got better as the week went on.
My only 'nag' was that my room lacked a full length mirror so I just used the one in the corridor. Also I advise you to take an EU plug with USB and UK plug in points as I had to unplug the TV for a socket

QUANT AUTHENTIC ITALIAN FAMILY RAN HOTEL
Pros:

21/04/26 - 28/04/26. GOOD POINTS - Lovely clean family owned hotel, beautifully decorated in the Italian style with tiles and stunning merino glass chandeliers. Friendly, helpful staff, clean balcony rooms with views over Bay of Naples, food was OK although a little rushed which didnt bother us to much, evening meal had to be ordered at breakfast. 20 minutes walk from Sorrento centre although along non pedestrian friendly roads, not for the faint hearted but not hotels fault.
NEGATIVE - Air con was not switched on until 01st May even though it was 21 degrees, beds very hard making nightimes uncomfortable, had to leave balcony door open which made little difference. Pool was not filled up until 01st May either. Tiny fridge in room and no kettle or cups. Bathrooms were clean but dated, no walk in shower, just a high step over bath/shower which was very narrow for feet, slipped and fell once, dangerous in my opinion. Only 2 plug sockets in our room, one used for TV which we unplugged and one for fridge, no spare sockets.
Could be a fantastic hotel if bedrooms were updated, not an unpleasant stay but could have been better.

Charming 4 star hotel with lovely staff.
Pros:

A Charming, lovely Hotel. We stayed for a week as a 48th Wedding anniversary present to ourselves as we love Italy. The Hotel is spotlessly clean and comfortable, filled with beautiful ceramics (lemons feature a lot but this is Sorrento, Limoncello capital of Italy!) and stunning glass chandeliers featuring fruits and flowers.
The staff are multi-lingual, easily switching from English to French as needed in the Dining Room. Food is excellent, based on local dishes as well as a few classics of Italian Cuisine. Evening meal consists of three courses; soup or pasta, main of meat/fish with vegetables and dessert. Wines for the table offer excellent choice and price ranges and include local wines. Breakfast includes all the usual staples, cereals, fruit ( including fresh local oranges and satsumas) Bacon and scrambled eggs and a wonderful assortment of breads and pastries.
Our room had a balcony overlooking the Bay of Naples and the Hotel's swimming pool (Sadly empty as we were so early in the season) and the garden to the rear, filled with lemon trees. We had a spacious, clean room and bathroom, which was serviced well. Our only complaint might have been that the mattress was a little firm. Hotel WiFi is excellent.
All the staff were welcoming and helpful, we had aperitifs in the Bar and coffee too, including on the day we checked out, waiting for our pickup!

Hotel Eliseo Parks Sant’Agnello, Sorrento. Poor food and dated accommodation
Pros:

I booked a tour with Newmarket Holidays on their Amalfi coast tour and I ended up staying at Eliseo Parks. The hotel is very clean, this is its only saving grace. The bed was agonisingly hard and small. Several of us complained of bruised hips as the mattresses were so hard. The dinner quality was consistently poor and in some instances inedible - in Italy - how is this possible? No choice for dessert and had to be pre booked at breakfast. Breakfast coffee was awful and from a thermos flask. The staff were intent on getting you in and out as quickly as possible. You are allocated a table and have to sit there. No chance to sit and relax. The first evening, I was in and out in under 15minutes from sitting down to finish, which was traumatising. When I politely asked the following night to have more time I was left to last. Intended no doubt as punishment but suited me fine! There was no sun around the small unheated pool area after about 3pm so no chance to sunbathe after a day out. At the end of May/beginning of June, the pool was still too cold for most people to use. The photos show lush greenery on the balconies, must be pre Covid as nothing now. The garden is a basic lawn with dirty and broken sun loungers. Nowhere pleasant to sit out to enjoy a relaxing drink in the evening. A female waitress was consistently extremely rude to everyone and obviously hated foreigners, or maybe just the British as she was much more helpful and polite to a French group? It is a good 25 minute walk in to Sorrento, along a dangerous narrow main road, taxi cost is about 20 euro each way. If you stay at the hotel Girasole, only 2 minutes away they provided a free taxi bus every half an hour. In my group no one was happy with the place but just put it down to experience. This is listed as a 4* I can’t imagine why. I think you would have a better stay at Butlins. Don’t stay here.

Give the food a miss
Pros:

Nice hotel the rooms are very clean and housekeeping change the towels every other day. Our room was large, comfortable with a good size balcony. The hotel front of house and cleaning staff were very helpful and did a good job, cannot fault them
The main complaint we have is with the food in the hotel. The hotels statement says, and I quote: Hotel Eliseo Park's offers its guests the convenience of an internal restaurant. Our cuisine reflects the traditions of Italian gastronomy, with a particular focus on Campania cuisine. Our expert chefs prepare delicious dishes, offering a unique gastronomic journey into the heart of Italian culinary tradition. This description was totally opposite to what was served which can only be described as at the best, school dinners i.e sloppy mashed potato, pork escalope with sauce and lettuce on the same plate. A slice of pizza as a starter. Risotto 4 times in the same week (looked like porridge). No choice of dessert, it was a case of take it or leave it, one time it was a piece of melon, just cut and plonked on the plate, with no attempt to at least try to dress it.The courses are served one after another as soon as you finish the previous one! It would have been nice to have at least been offered coffee or tea at the end of the meal. The breakfast was very uninspiring and monotinus. Bread rolls , processed meat and cheese. Tinned fruit salad. The food was so bad, we ended up eating out for most of the week, incurring a cost that we had not budgeted for.

Avoid this hotel
Pros:

The hotel has no atmosphere. We were part of an escorted tour and found the hotel clean and convenient for Sorrento. Unfortunately the food was dire. The breakfast was the same all week. Tinned fruit salad, stale rolls, watery scrambled egg overseen by a rude waitress. Evening meals were just as bad. Processed food and unusual combinations. Salad on a warm plate with hot fish and powdered potatoes. On 2 occasions we paid to have meals in a local restaurant. An imposition after all ready paying for meals as part of the package.

Nice place.
Pros:

Very friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is dated but cute and clean. Still has key locks for doors - which was a bit unusual by today’s standards. Overall it was very nice. I’d stay again.

Fantastic small and friendly hotel, great value and service for money
Pros:

I have recently returned from a 1 week stay and I had an amazing time. I was so pleased that I picked the Elise’s Park’s Hotel and at a great price of £700 for a solo traveller with Jet2.
Location: 20 minute walk to Sorrento (Piazza Tasso) and a further 10 mins to the Ferry Port (Marina Piccola) for Capri. Not worth waiting around for a bus. Sant’ Agnello station is 10 mins’ walk away with regular trains to the Centre of Sorrento or to Naples (direction for Pompeii and Herculaneum) at a great price. In the other direction it is a 5 min walk to Piazzetta Marinella for panoramic or sunset photos across the bay to Sorrento. Note: the pavements are poor, and you have to frequently cross over the road to be safe!
Room: I stayed in Room 105 which was on the ground floor, had a balcony overlooking the spotlessly clean pool and sun lounger area. The bed was made every day, the towels changed, and the room was spotlessly cleaned. It was great to have a small fridge in the room (I kept water and milk in it) as I brought my own kettle and tea bags. Saying that, you could make tea/coffee using your own tea/coffee at breakfast time in the dining room. The single bed was firm, and I slept very well. The air conditioning (free) was quiet and very effective and there was no noise. The Wi-Fi was very good. There was a small safe in the room. On arrival you paid a 10 Euro deposit for the key at reception, and this was refunded on departure. Note: Along with your room key you are given a ‘blue key’ which needs to go into a wall socket to activate the electricity in your room. If the key is taken out then the sockets will not charge your electrical equipment i.e. iPad, phone, and camera battery. However, Viola charged my iPad for me in reception while I had my meal.
Staff: Viola on Reception is wonderful, speaking great English and providing information on buses, trains, ferry times etc. Nothing was too much trouble for Viloa or her colleagues on reception, the cleaners, and the staff in the dining room.
Restaurant/Food
Ivana and colleagues were amazing and so kind and helpful, always a smile. There was a good choice for Breakfast and all nice and fresh, loved the chocolate croissants. There were a choice of 3 starters and 3 mains, and I was always able to pick one that I liked and enjoyed them all (especially the cannelloni and pasta dishes). Portion size was sufficient and filling and always hot. I disagree with the previous review suggesting that the food was “processed and bought in”. Every day I could smell the food being prepped in the afternoon. One morning I overheard one guest say that she didn’t like any of the main choices when ordering for that evening and she was promptly offered the option of a cheese and tomato omelette.
Thank you to everyone for a wonderful and relaxing stay. I was very spoilt and have brought home some great memories.
Tip: Take a travel kettle and extra clothes hangers (only 4 in the wardrobe)

Pros:

What a welcome! Smiles and wonderful greetings, not just on day one but throughout our stay. We felt like part of a big family as all of the staff were very friendly. The hotel is extremely clean, what a bonus. The meals are well presented and varied. The pool area is tidy and the garden it sits in is well kept. The pool is one depth though, which created a problem for some customers. However I mention it not to be negative only for information. Our room was a balcony overlooking the pool which was lovely. Again to let future bookers know there are balcony rooms overlooking the large garden at the side. We would return to this little gem of a hotel.

Good and bad points
Pros:

Small, warm slice of Italian hospitality for a fantastic price
Pros:

We paid £699 for a weeks half board at this little gem of a hotel- in peak school holiday season (August 25), which is amazing value for an holiday in exclusive Sorrento. It did not disappoint and exceeded our expectations! Here is our honest review 🇮🇹✈️🏖️💛

Plus points:
- The rooms are spotless, cooled with air con and cleaned daily. We had a super balcony over the gardens which was relaxing and peaceful.
- Tasty typically Italian food at breakfast and a three course evening meal.
- The hotel is set back from the hustle and bustle of Sorrento, perfectly placed in St Agnello to access the sea, train station and in 20 mins you can reach Sorrento on foot.
- The staff are super helpful and friendly, making you feel very welcome- they arranged scooter hire for us, always chatted to us and could not do enough to ensure we had a great holiday. Shout out to Viola and Tony on reception who were so lovely! 😊
- It is a perfect peaceful base from which to explore Sorrento and the Amalfi coast - I recommend getting the train to Naples/ Pompeii and Herculaneum and hiring a scooter for that authentic Italian experience! 👌🇮🇹🛵

Could have been better:
- Breakfast and dinner were limited times 7-8pm dinner and breakfast until 9.30am and we are night owls - it was a bit restrictive.
- The food choices are a bit basic/limited- if you’re used to an all-inclusive kind of resort.
- The beds are very firm!
- It is very quiet even in peak season…not a bad point for us at all, but depends on the sort of holiday you want. If you enjoy making friends and entertainment on tap, this is not the hotel for you. We did not see any children at the hotel and as a mother of a 10 year old I feel my child would have been bored here. (However it is perfect for a child free week of relaxation! )
Thank you Viola, Tony and co for making us feel very welcome in your beautiful little hotel - we will be recommending it to our family and friends xx

Pros:

We had a wonderful holiday at this hotel in Sorrento. The staff were exceptionally friendly and always happy to help, which made us feel very welcome.
