Pros:

The hotel has the best location in Amalfi with beautiful views. I recommend getting a room with a sea view.

Cons:

They use very strong smelling products to clean the rooms. Breakfast was not good.

Excellent location with helpful staff
Pros:

Excellent location, very close to the ferry and short walk to Amalfi centre. The rooms were spacious and clean and the view from the balcony in the room was lovely. The staff were friendly and helpful. The roof top bar was a real bonus, with amazing views and a nice way to end the day after sightseeing.

Cons:

The lights went out on a couple of occasions with no warning. The bathroom also flooded late one evening as the shower wasn't draining, there was no in house plumber to assist, but the night manager tried to help as much as possible.

Séjour de rêve sur la côte amalfitaine 😍
Pros:

L’emplacement, la propreté des chambres et de l’hôtel en général, la terrasse avec vue incroyable pour prendre l’apéritif au coucher du soleil, la gentillesse du personnel et la décoration très typique.
La vue sur mer au réveil est magnifique 🥰

Cons:

Du bruit le matin avec l’entretien de la ville juste sous nos fenêtres qui laissent passer le bruit…. Mais l’hôtel n’y est pour rien…

El personal muy bueno. Amabilísimos. Amplias las habitaciones, la vista al mar, y divina su terraza rooftop con vista a todo! La ubicación es muy buena para quienes no quieren subir todos los días millones de escaleras en Amalfi. Y a una cuadra de los ferries y del bus que va a Ravello y otros destinos

L'emplacement est idéal pour visiter Amalfi et pour se déplacer dans d'autres villes en ferry et en bus ...

Cons:

Pas d'Internet dans la chambre, ni réseau 4G ou 5G ... on était coupé du monde, on à signalé cela à l'accueil mais sans aucune réaction .... et on était obligé de descendre à la halle de réception pour se connecter !
1ere nuit :
1- coupure d'électricité en pleine nuit
2- on est monté sur la terrasse 4eme étage pour passer une soirée au roof, on était mal accueilli et ils nous ont imposé de s'asseoir sur une table à leur choix alors qu'il y avait d'autres tables libres ... on est sorti sans hésitation... dommage car on envisageait de passer toutes les find de soirées en haut ... !

Nice hotel in Amalfi port
Pros:

Hotel La Bussola is a good hotel. Would not say average to be exact but also not very good, that’s why we rated this with 3 stars in stead of 4. Good and bad things are.
Good:
1. The Cleanliness off the hotel and rooms.
2. The location of the hotel in Amalfi, close to the port and sea.
3. Friendless off most staff. Except for one older lady behind the front desk, looks like the manager or maybe owner. Wow she could use some friendless and service lessons.

Bad:
1. The rooms smell a bit weird
2. The “beach” it is right in front of the hotels in the Harbour between all the boats. It’s dirty and definitely not a place we would spend a day relaxing in Amalfi.
3. Hotel lacks atmosphere. The basics are good but the decoration and furniture looks scraped together without any sense of style. Just not cosy.

All in all, would I come back? Maybe, it wasn’t that bad at all. But would I rather spend my money somewhere else? Probably… it wasn’t an unforgettable experience, whilst it wasn’t a bad one either. Concluding maybe the average score for this hotel is just right.

Friendly and welcoming staff. Loved the high ceilings in the room and it was extremely clean. Loved its close proximity to swim in the Mediterranean and we loved the roof top bar. The view up top is beautiful. ❤️

Cons:

Expensive drink prices at the rooftop bar. We would have stayed longer and drank more if they were comparable to other venues close by. Having to pay €100 for the enjoyment of accessing the pontoon for a swim seemed a lot. In Australia it’s free to swim in the ocean so that seemed strange & expensive to have to pay.
