The hospitality and responsiveness of the staff was fantastic. The breakfast was a terrific continental breakfast in a pleasing room Location in Santo Spirito is hard to beat. Check in was a breeze
The bed in our large room was a combination of twin beds which we know is common. However one side of the bed had a relatively new mattress the other side had a major dip and a set of springs that we could feel. The two side of the bed were at noticeably different heights once occupied. This made for an odd and uncomfortable sleep. We paid for a balcony room which had a large air conditioning unit covered with a black mesh tarp occupying one end. Not very pleasing to look at while having morning coffee. We appreciate deeply the need for air conditioning but a more elegant solution would befit this hotel

Absolotutely wonderfull historica hotel that makes you feel like you move back in time, pefectly fitting the city of Florance. Walking distance from the city center.
It is affordable in an amazing part of central Florence. A walking distance from everything. The property has an astounding history as well as the narrative around Annalena. I must add that the staff are professional and supportive. It is also very clean.
It was is VERY tired and doesn’t seem that it received any Tlc as a structure for many many decades. Our room was particularly shabby and haphazard in the design - we entered fhrough something that was used as a wardroom. there was no shower tray on the floor which made it difficult to shower properly. This was a great pit because everything else is fine
Staff was friendly and professional. Excellent check in and helpful with a taxi for early departure. Less expensive than other hotels. Very close (500m) to where a car can drop you off. Decent shower.
Hotel location was kind of scary. Main floor lobby was like a dungeon. Needed two keys and a code to get in which I guess made it more safe? Furnishings were dated and some things were falling apart. Room was noisy. Don’t spring for the terrace - ours faces two others - very awkward if someone else is using theirs. Toilet was noisy. Bed was just a thin mattress on legs but not terrible. Only tea in the room. No coffee.
Staff was extremely friendly and helpful..even with put special requests! The room was spacious, very quiet and air conditioned. Immediately outside, literally across the street is the Boboli Gardens! Good food restaurant just steps away. Small hotel about 20 rooms…like all hotels, be prepared for a few stairs! Lovely place would stay again!
Staff very pleasant and helpful. Loved the history of the building and the location was excellent for walking in Florence. We had a room with a small terrace that we loved. Highly recommend a stay here!
Amazing 16th century villa. It’s quite simple inside the rooms but good value and very convenient. Staff were charming.

The location is fantastic, both for the neighborhood and its proximity to historic sites and museums. However most remarkable is how beautiful the hotel was. i had a room with a balcony and it was an aesthetic joy. The staff were helpful , friendly, a pleasure to deal with.
