Definitely a great stay!
Pros:

The location was wonderful! A short walk to the main square and all the monuments were close by. Our cruise came in very early morning, but they let us store our bags to enjoy the city. We were given great food recommendations and helpful tips for driving to Bologna- everything to make this such a wonderful stay.

Frustrating Stay
Pros:

I arrived late after an exhausting day of travel, made even longer by a four-hour delay waiting for my luggage.

As a female traveler, I found the hotel to be clean (though incredibly dated) and felt safe during my stay. The front desk attendant was genuinely kind and welcoming, but he appeared to be working alone, and the hotel could benefit from additional staff.

The entrance has stairs, and there was no assistance with luggage. Guests are also required to leave their room key at the front desk whenever they leave the hotel, which is inconvenient when service is slow due to understaffing.

My room (403) felt dated and smelled like broccoli. The mattress was very hard, and the bedspread felt more like a curtain than a blanket. The bathroom was extremely small, and the shower was barely large enough to turn around in. During my stay at the end of a heatwave, the air conditioning struggled to keep the room cool and comfortable.

Breakfast was disappointing. Several items that should have been served hot were only at room temperature, raising food safety concerns.

Overall, the hotel was clean, but it is overdue for modernization. Updated rooms, modern electrical outlets and charging options, improved climate control, additional staffing, and better attention to breakfast food temperatures would make for a much more comfortable stay. One final note: taxis can have difficulty navigating to the hotel because of the surrounding pedestrian-only streets, so plan accordingly when arriving or departing.

Lovely room, centrally located near good bars and restaurants, lovely concierge. Great service.
Pros:

Breakfast was fine, not bad and not great. It was fine. Everything else was above average. The room was spotless, the bathroom was perfect. The staff were lovely and helped us book a transfer to the Ship for our cruise.

Cons:

Breakfast, but it was adequate. and value for money for the price of the room.
