The location is excellent, situated in the beautiful and peaceful neighborhood of Chamberí. The room was clean and comfortable once I was finally able to access it.
My experience at the front desk was disappointing for a 4-star hotel:
1. Lack of honesty and coordination regarding availability: Upon my early arrival after a 20+ hour flight, the first receptionist curtly informed me that no rooms were available. However, I checked the Booking app and saw identical rooms were explicitly listed as available for immediate booking. When I requested clarification from the second receptionist (who was working the same shift and heard the previous conversation), the narrative changed to an unmentioned 'early check-in fee' and then to claiming the rooms were dirty. Her tone became noticeably rude and defensive once she saw me checking the app. It felt as though she realized she had been caught contradicting her colleague. I eventually received my room at 1:00 PM without paying any extra fees, but only after showing them the app proving availability. I told them they could have given me that information in a clear and kind way.
2. Poor service and customer care: While I was waiting, I witnessed the staff showing zero willingness to help a foreign family with a language barrier, and the female receptionist was sharp and dismissive with another guest trying to check out, snapping that she "couldn't help everyone at once." The interaction was so unnecessarily rude that the other guest and I literally locked eyes in shock. The attitude at the front desk is rigid, dry, and completely lacks hospitality.
Treating guests with clarity and kindness should be a priority, not an exception.

Cuando hice la reserva la habitacion doble la queria con balcon tal como figuraba en el aviso,fue decepcionante que al llegar nos dieron sin balcon.
