No me dieron todas las indicaciones al llegar, por ejemplo que no me dejaban agua todos los días, ni que yo debía ir a llenar la botella. El hotel no tiene restaurante. Subí y bajé con una gran maleta y nadie me ayudó. Los hombres que atienden son más avales que las mujeres, que están con una actitud de enojadas. El bar no lo repusieron en los 5 días que estuve. Una muy mala experiencia, no volvería a hospedarme en este hotel

Service très moyen pas digne d’un hôtel de qualité
Cons:

1. Publicité mensongère puisque la chambre que nous avons eu n’est pas celle des photos présentées lors de la réservation (chambre à l’étage et non pas dans les combles).
2. Bar fermé à 19h15 et aucun service possible.

Sehr enttäuschende Erfahrung – für mich nicht einmal einen Stern wert

Leider war unser Aufenthalt im Hôtel Lord Byron eine der schlechtesten Hotelerfahrungen, die ich bisher gemacht habe. Von einem 4-Sterne-Hotel haben wir deutlich mehr erwartet.

Bereits beim Check-in am 29.08.2026 gegen 14:00 Uhr wurden wir von einem Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption sehr respektlos behandelt. Da wir die Kaution nicht mit Kreditkarte, sondern bar bezahlen wollten, sagte er sinngemäss: „Wie kann man ohne Kreditkarte reisen?“ und „Ihr seid ja komisch.“ Ein solcher Umgang mit Gästen ist für mich völlig unprofessionell und unangemessen.

Auch das Zimmer war eine grosse Enttäuschung. Es war deutlich kleiner, als es auf den Bildern dargestellt wurde, und die Einrichtung wirkte sehr alt und teilweise abgenutzt. Selbst der Föhn im Zimmer war kaputt. Zudem roch das Zimmer unangenehm stark nach Teppich, was den Aufenthalt zusätzlich beeinträchtigt hat.

Auch die allgemeinen Einrichtungen des Hotels haben uns enttäuscht. Der Aufzug ist extrem klein und wirkt sehr alt. Die Treppen sind teilweise sehr eng und die Stufen ungewöhnlich kurz, sodass man beim Hinuntergehen tatsächlich aufpassen muss, um nicht zu stolpern.

Als ich mich wegen des Zimmers und des unangenehmen Geruchs an der Rezeption beschwerte, reagierte derselbe Mitarbeiter erneut arrogant und unfreundlich. Er sagte mir sinngemäss, dass er mir noch ein Zimmer im 5. Stock geben könne und wenn es mir nicht gefalle, „da ist die Tür“.

Für mich ist eine solche Aussage gegenüber einem zahlenden Gast absolut inakzeptabel. Selbst wenn ein Hotel ausgebucht ist oder nicht jede Reklamation sofort perfekt lösen kann, sollte man Gäste respektvoll und professionell behandeln.

Insgesamt war die Erfahrung für uns durchweg negativ: respektloser Umgang beim Check-in, sehr kleine Zimmer, alte Einrichtung, kaputter Föhn, unangenehmer Geruch nach Teppich, ein extrem kleiner und alter Aufzug sowie sehr enge und teilweise unbequeme Treppen.

عدم وجود رجل أمن للدخول والخروج وعدم وجود موظفين كافين في المساء حيث يقوم موظف الاستقبال بكل المهام وهو أمر في غاية الصعوبة

Well located and a stylish hotel
Pros:

On arrival it had a charming elegance. The reception and bar areas were very elegant.

It was very clean.

Cons:

The bedroom and hallways were a bit scruffy. Wallpaper peeling and paintwork dirty and scuffed (including the bath in our room).

We chose a superior room to stay in. The shower was over the bath and there wasn’t enough room, you had to stand on the plug to be under the shower head. It was all very slippery to get out of the bath and on to the tiled floor. The bath had been painted and whilst showering the paint was peeling off around my feet. The toilet was squeezed in next to the bath and it was all just very unpleasant.
