Location
Staff were not very friendly, arrived for check in to find a be back soon sign - seems strange to align a break with check in time - waited an additional 15 minutes. The rooms are in need of updates - mold in the shower, scuffs and cracks in the paint and on the walls, stains on the sheets
Location
The property is tired and grubby, the man on reception (Eric) was unhelpful and rude. The photos shown on the website do not reflect reality. There a many hotels available in this price point that are much better.
I liked the location and old charm of the hotel . The staff accommodated us with a change of room as air conditioning was not working and we were given a room opening to outdoor space..
Unfortunately there was renovations going on outside our door.. 1st set of staff much friendlier than 2nd set..Go so far as to say a reception staff was rude.
It is clean and convenient
Room very small, facility not well kept, room service not consistent, lights out in the stairs, and no air conditioning as advertised.
The hotel is located in a great area in Paris, which is reflected in the price. Unfortunately, our overall experience did not meet expectations.
During our stay, temperatures exceeded 30°C, and the air conditioning in the hotel was not working. We were only informed of this upon arrival, leaving us with no opportunity to cancel or find alternative accommodation. In such heat, a functioning air conditioning system is essential, and not having it significantly impacted our stay.
As compensation, we were offered free breakfast, which we appreciated, but it did not come close to balancing the discomfort caused. Our room became unbearably hot, making it difficult to relax or sleep properly. This negatively affected our entire weekend getaway. Additionally, the refrigerator in the room was not working either, which made it impossible to keep drinks or food cool in the heat.
Because of the heat, we had to keep the windows open at all times. This led to insects entering the room, and on Saturday evening, the street noise was very loud, making it even harder to rest. The small fan provided by the hotel made little difference in such high temperatures.
Overall, we feel that the price we paid was not justified given these circumstances. We did enjoy Paris, but the hotel experience was a significant disappointment.
Hübsches Hotel, schönes Zimmer
The location was excellent and the staff were both pleasant & helpful. The bathroom was very good with a lovely shower, efficient lavatory and space for toiletries; I imagine it has been recently refurbished.
The room, however, was tired and in need of a good coat of paint. We like the recesses at the side of the bed instead of bedside tables as this allowed additional space for moving around. A welcome bottle of wine [on the house] was a nice touch.
The main issues were as follows:
- the fridge didn't work;
- teabags & paper cups were not replaced on a daily routine;
- there was limited hanging space for long garments;
- there was no air-conditioning & the fan [supplied] had a very short lead [and our stay was during a heatwave].
- there was only ONE electric plug. This was our main problem & in the end we had to unplug the TV as my friend needed to recharge her hearing aids each night, We both had mobile phones & other electrical equipment which needed to be charged overnight. THIS WAS OUR CHIEF PROBLEM.

Great location, near La Bastille, clean and functional
Despite the extreme weather, the AC only comes on in June so we had the window open so it was quite noisy.
Location & price
Safety hazards with poorly lit stairways & high & slippery access to shower
Posizione dell'hotel, personale gentile e discreto, servizi buoni e di qualità
Location: Good and quiet. Within a 20–30 minute walk you can reach Notre Dame, the Louvre, and the Saint‑Germain district.
Rooms are as expected in Paris—small and tight, but better than many other hotels. At least we had enough space to place our luggage. Sleep comfort was good, and the ambient temperature was fine. There was a welcome bottle of wine, which we appreciated. A kettle was available for tea/coffee.
Staff were helpful, with nice people at reception.
Breakfast could be improved, but overall it was decent.
If you arrive late (but still within breakfast hours), cheese and ham platters may be empty, and croissants may be finished without being replenished, so you have to eat whatever is left.
It is good to have a lift in such an old building; however, it was outdated, so you had to wait a long time. There were no indicators showing whether it was busy, on standby, or which floor it was on. As a result, you had to press the button several times and sometimes wait up to 7–8 minutes.
