Nova Hotel

The location and the delicious breakfast.

I booked a room for my partner to stay for a night to catch the train the next day. In the middle of the night at 3am the hotel personnel broke into the room where she was sleeping and threw her out to the street. All of that happened with an unwarranted aggression claiming she was engaged in prostitution with the "evidence" being a couple of her friends helping her settle earlier in the afternoon. Management and personnel are clearly there by mistake, and should not run any customer facing service in principle. When I called in to request more information about the situation I was met with the same level of aggression on the phone. Me and my partner have stayed in a lot of places all over the world, and this is the first time we have had such experience. It is genuinely shocking.

Staff were very unhelpful didn't go out their way to meet my needs. Three days I complained to change language on my tv to English. Three days response from different Receptionist's, 'The Manager knows about it and will sort it'. It never got sorted😡One female receptionist sitting using her mobile. A male member of staff at front of hotel couldn't get back into hotel despite numerous attempts to knock on door and press the remote intercom button. I was with him waiting to check-in. Obviously no-one on Reception. Not a good first impression. Clean linen lying on floor in hallways on a sheet instead of on a trolley and dirty laundry piled next to lift in bags. A family next to to my room on 3rd floor constantly banged doors, shouting until after midnight. No kettle in hotel room. I asked for one. The receptionist said it's free downstairs and didn't seem to care. The attitude of staff on Reception was very poor, uncaring. I'm 71 yrs old and I couldn't make a cup of tea when I wanted one in my room. Instead I had to go to lobby downstairs. I had to wait for the only lift in hotel which was very small and extremely slow. The stairs were steep and winding, which I did use on occasion. No good for elderly people or people with babies and very young children. I will never stay at another Nova Hotel sadly 😥

Unfortunately the elevator kept on breaking down and sometimes we had to take the stairs, which are VERY STEEP AND NARROW, u can hardly get ur foot in...unless u place it sideways. Luckily it was working both days x checking in/ out.

And even though the breakfast was very, very good...it was not consistent...some days they were short of things...but I guess it was the workers.. not being on top of things....
