Medplaya Hotel Calypso

Hotel de praia mediano, é suficiente para o preço. O buffet era agradável.

EL hotel està molt bé, l'esmorzar es molt complet, les piscines molt bé també i l'animació esplnèndida.
No he fet servir cap altre servei de l'hotel.

Las piscinas estaban muy bien!

Estuvimos 6 días en familia y, en general, la experiencia fue buena. El hotel está en una zona tranquila, con restaurantes y tiendas cerca y buena conexión en autobús. Las piscinas, especialmente la infantil y los toboganes, fueron un punto a favor. El personal fue agradable y atento. Aunque la animación era limitada, un día en concreto fue excelente y disfrutamos mucho tanto niños como adultos.

Just returned from
A week here and my god what an experience. Staff and cleaners I cannot fault it. But I’ve never stayed in a place as loud as this. It was like a zoo all day. Not a chance this is 4* either. The place was full of people smoking green all day. Dining times again like a zoo with people acting like the food was going to run out. I really did feel for the dining staff. I’d imagine it’s easier looking after wild animals. And to top it all
Off it was one of those gaffs were people put towels out at 6am 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Not a very good experience at this hotel. It is a very Spanish oriented hotel and seems to cater for their own. Not a problem, just an observation. Every staff member we spoke to was quite rude and the staff in the restaurant never had a smile . When we first arrived we queued for over half an hour to check in. Booked the holiday as 1 adult 1 child bed and breakfast. We were checked in as 2 adults and told this wouldn’t make any difference. We were told we could pay for dinner and lunch separately if we wanted it (which is fine). The first evening we went to the restaurant, met by a lady who couldn’t speak English and wasn’t that interested when I tried to explain we want to pay and eat. She went and got another colleague who sorted us out but was quite rude in the process and was fixated on what we cannot have repeated it a number of times.
Charged as 2 adults and when I corrected her and said we are an adult and child she couldn’t understand and shrugged her shoulders. Rooms very basic, clean very simple. Tried to order a drink at the bar one night to be told I had to pay €1 for the glass, it wasn’t what she was saying but she was rude in her delivery so I said forget it I’d drink the bottled water in the room. That was a positive, a bottle of water in the room on arrival. Breakfast is a massive queuing session. I’ve never been to a hotel where you queue so much to get your food which isn’t even that great quality , very average and the eggs were cold. Queued for what felt like an eternity to get a cuppa tea and then queued again to get food. This hotel was booked as a base as wanted to use the beach all day and eat out at night but what little experience we did have in the hotel wasn’t great. Would not recommend, would not return.
