A lovely grand hotel in beautiful Saumur.
Pros:

Nicholas was our main host. He welcomed us warmly . He can speak 4 languages and treats all guests with high grace. All of the staff are so helpful. The hotel is privately owned and not part of a huge chain.
The hotel is spacious and feels like a small castle with big winding staircases. Dogs are welcome which is excellent.

Cons:

We did not want to leave and wished we booked for a longer period. Felt like staying with friends.

Great location but the bigger room was not worth the price
Pros:

The location was great with just a short walk to the town centre.

Cons:

I up graded us to a river view room but it was just too big and didn’t feel like good value for the money. Not very luxurious.

Great location at the base of the chateau. Easy walk into the town centre. Secure off-street private parking (€15 per day). Great breakfast. Good air conditioning

L'emplacement, la grandeur de la chambre, personnel à l'écoute, parfait petit-déjeuner avec beaucoup de choix

La piscine aurait pu être un peu plus propre et le fait de payer le jacuzzi qui se trouve à côté de la piscine.

Wir hatten ein schönes, grosses Zimmer mit Klimaanlage. In diesem heissen Sommer sehr angenehm. Wir hatten den Blick auf die tolle Burg. Parkieren konnte man gratis auf öffentlichen Parkplätze entlang dem Loire Ufer.

Pros:

Very good breakfast - we ate so much that we didn't need lunch. Room was a treat - the prestige room with small balcony overlooking the river. The history of the room was beautifully maintained and detailed. Expensive but worth it.

Great hotel, great breakfast.
Pros:

Great breakfast and friendly reception staff.

Cons:

We booked one of the superior rooms with a view of the chateau. It was a comfortable room but I did feel that the functional lino flooring reminded me of a youth hostel and felt a bit cheap - notwithstanding, the view was indeed fabulous.
