Pros:

Le petit déjeuner sucré salé à volonté en buffet
Le personnel toujours à l'écoute
Le massage pendant le séjour
La vue sur le château de Saumur (dépend bien sur de la chambre)

A 5 min à pied du centre ville et proche de nombreuses activités (musée du Champignon, parc zoologique de Doué, Abbaye, caves à vins, village troglodyte...)

A beautiful comfortable hotel stay in a good location for the town centre.
Pros:

The ambience of the hotel was one of timeworn elegance with a relaxed atmosphere. There is a beautiful wide curved staircase that makes ascending to the bedroom an occasion. The bedroom itself was a large magnificent space, furnished in a manner appropriate to its architecture overlooking the river front.
The breakfast included considerable choice of cereals, fruits, breads, juices etc. The rear garden was spacious and well planted lending a sense of calm to the location.

Cons:

The bedroom toilet was separate from the bathroom and didn't have a washbowl: but given the historicity of the building this would not be easily remedied.

Exceeded our expectations!
Pros:

Great location on the river and very close to the chateau. We really appreciated the on site parking and welcoming and reception staff who even made recommendations on where to eat and booked a dinner reservation for us. The room was perfect for our needs and breakfast in the morning was delicious and offered a great choice. Highly recommended and we will be back!
