Great price - value option.
Pros:

Super friendly staff. Short walk down the village center. After a good dinner it might be a little challenging to get back up 😉, but nonetheless good calories burn. Place has a pool, restaurant and you can reserve a parking spot.

Just what you want when you stay in a family run hotel in Italy.
Pros:

An exceptional stay and not just because of the beautiful location. The family owners and staff were absolutely first class in every respect and it was exactly what you want from a short holiday in a family hotel in incredible Italy. They support your every request and need with 100% enthusiasm.
One aspect that was as good as it gets anywhere and I am being serious when I mention the old Waldorf Astoria in NYC was the fantastic variety of local food that was arranged so beautifully for breakfast.

Cons:

They couldn't get AC Milan to win an important game a few days earlier. ;-)

Izjemno prijazni, nudijo večerjo, kar je super. Zajtrk nad pričakovanjem!
Nisem pričakovala, da je pot od hotela pa do obale izjemno dolga in je res ogromno stopnic so brez oklevanja ob klicu odpeljali starejšo osebo do hotela, kar sem zares hvaležna!

Cons:

Sobe so malce zastarele, ampak nudijo vso komoditeto.

A relaxing stay with great staff, excellent food, and a lovely pool in beautiful Menaggio.
Pros:

The hotel was very clean and comfortable, with a refreshing pool that was perfect after a day around Lake Como. The breakfast offered a huge variety of choices and everything was fresh and tasty. The staff was always kind, welcoming, and helpful whenever we needed anything. We also really enjoyed the dinner options at the hotel.

Cons:

The hotel is a bit uphill from the ferry and town center, so the walk takes around 15 minutes and can be tiring after a long day so be ready if you carry luggages. However, it was manageable and worth it for the peaceful atmosphere.

Excellent breakfast, quite a hike from old town Menaggio.
Pros:

Most expansive breakfast feast! Wonderful food and so many options! Great friendly helpful staff. Room had a view of Lake Como.

Cons:

It’s pretty far from the ferry and was quite the workout to lug up our suitcases. The hotel offers a shuttle for hire, but we didn’t know our exact arrival time to take advantage of it. If you want a good walk each day it gives good value, but would not recommend for people who have trouble getting around.

Enjoyable stay
Pros:

For a family of four plus the grandparents, the hotel Sonenga offered a warm hospitality, great accommodations and a wonderful breakfast during our stay. The hotel staff was very welcoming and knowledgeable about the area in general. Although we traveled with a fairly big van, they were able to make sure that we found parking at the site (parking in Menaggio is generally a challenge). There was a playground right next to the hotel which served the needs of our children well. Even though the pool at the hotel was not filled with water yet (early season in May) that did not bother us much. Thanks for our pleasant stay and keep it up!
ps. the beds were great for our Northern spines.

Great stay in Menaggio.
Pros:

Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Within walking distance to downtown Menaggio and the ferries. Room was very comfortable and clean. Great breakfast. Really enjoy the family the owns and runs the hotel. Very accommodating.

Pros:

L'hôtel est bien situé à Menaggio où l'on peut se déplacer à pied en ville
Par contre, la salle de bain est spartiate. La cabine douche est très petite (attention aux personnes à forte corpilence). L'hôtel ne propose pas de gel douche )sauf un échantillon pour le 1er jour) ni de shampoing cheveux donc on a manqué de savon.
Le plus : l'accueil top, le petit dej top avec des spécialités locales.

Cons:

Le manque de confort dans la salle de bain
Elle a refaire car elle est assez vétuste
