The room 209 we were given as the ceiling was very low. It was claustrophobic so that we avoided staying longer then absolutely necessary in our room.

Beautiful hotel with the most helpful and kind staff
Pros:

The location was excellent, very close to the Doge and Theatre. The shops around were less touristy and more authentic.
The staff was very friendly and helpful.
The rooms were a tiny bit small but its Venice so authenticity means that this was to be expected. The rooms were very clean, beautiful and comfortable.
For breakfast there were two rooms available with a large variety of foods and drinks.

Pros:

Location was very convenient to everything, and considering that it's Venice, the room had decent space. The staff was great and the private dock right to the door of the hotel was a nice plus.

Cons:

Overall, no complaints! It is an older hotel, as is most of the good ones in Venice, so keep that in mind - you won't find modern amenities like an onsite gym, for example. But if you're willing to set reasonable expectations, this place is a gem, especially if you can get promotional pricing.

Beautiful charming hotel in wonderful location in Venice!
Pros:

Duodo Palace is a wonderful charming hotel perfectly situated for exploring Venice. The rooms were beautiful and clean and the hotel staff were always on hand to help with arranging water taxis and for any questions we had. I can highly recommend Duodo Palace and would absolutely book here again.

The accommodation is beautiful, and the staff is very friendly. Everything was extremely clean, and we even received the room we had specifically wished for, which was such a lovely gesture from the hotel.

The only small thing that was missing was perhaps a welcome drink, for example a simple bottle of water waiting in the room upon arrival. The hotel was also a little bit soundproofing-wise limited, but that is completely understandable and quite normal for many hotels.

Other than that, it is a wonderful small boutique hotel with a 24-hour reception where you can leave your key whenever needed. Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay and had a great time there.

Unfortunately, I cannot comment on the breakfast, as we chose to have breakfast outside the hotel due to the many great options available nearby. The location is a perfect 10 out of 10 — very central and directly by the canal.

The room was also wonderfully cooled with the air conditioning, so there is no need to worry about staying here during the summer months. The value for money is excellent, and the staff is exceptionally friendly and welcoming.

Cons:

The only minor issue was that the soundproofing could be improved, as the room was a little bit noisy at times.
