Great location for venue on Madeira Drive. Comfortable bed. Quiet overnight. Handy basin in bedroom. Decent shower in bathroom. Very friendly staff.
Separate bathroom (albeit for sole use of that bedroom), but that’s reflected in the reasonable price of the stay. Single bedroom was tiny but that was fine as I was out until late and didn’t really use the room other than for sleeping in.

Guests need to realise that parking in this part of Brighton will always be limited. The Hotel does however sell permits.

Our polite request for lower floor room to meet accessibility needs was remembered and fulfilled on arrival.
The room was next to the front door, so somewhat noisy (internal and external) at night due to lack of sound insulation, as is to be expected from many similarly aged buildings.
This was only intermittent and did not unduly disturb our rest. We came prepared with earplugs - we have frequently stayed at Brighton before, and it is a lively town, it's part of the charm - but they were not needed.
The TV is not Smart and will not connect direct to streaming services on your phone, Chromecast device or similar would be needed if this is important to you. It has good signal for terrestrial channels.
Il y a de la place dans la chambre. A mon arrivée, j'ai pu laisser mon bagage avant l'heure de mon checkin. Le personnel était top. On m'a dit qu'on m'avait surclassé, bon je pensais avoir réservé ce type de chambre, donc je n'ai pas été surpris. Le lit était spacieux, la chambre propre, si ce n'est la salle de bain un peu vieillotte, avec une douche faible pression. Très bonne chambre, confortable.
L'isolation des chambres et des couloirs. Je logeais dans le couloir menant au bureau du responsable et du staff. Donc j'ai pu suivre pas mal de conversations, car on entendait tout depuis la chambre. Difficile pour l'intimité, et pour le repos.
Das Hotel hat Charakter. Der Besitzer ist ausgesprochen freundlich. Das eine oder andere ist in die Jahre gekommen. Da wackelt mal eine Halterung oder ein WC Deckelt. Auch platzmässig eher knapp, aber im gewählten Preisrahmen zu erwarten.
