Relaxing stay at Wainstones
Pros:

Fantastic location situated close to the North York moors with stunning scenery with the Hotel feeling like it fitted in just right with that. Quiet and unobtrusive with a nice relaxing atmosphere, further complemented with the lovely decor and friendly staff who where very helpful in all aspects but we're not pushy with the service like you get at some places, and my wife and I felt so relaxed and unrushed without the staff dropping a top notch service. The food was also fantastic, and very well presented, with the portions just right. Although we didn't initially book evening dinner prior to arrival, the staff managed to accommodate us with a table during the busy evenings over the weekend, and even though it was busy, thanks to the excellent service, surroundings and atmosphere, it felt more unrushed and relaxing. Thankyou all for our lovely stay.

Cons:

Nothing to not like.

Pros:

Staff very friendly and welcoming
Evening meal excellent
Given a bottle with fresh milk for the tea/coffee
Great choice of tea bags and Nespresso coffees

Cons:

Very tiny room with disabled bathroom - sink so small couldn't get a decent wash. Very small double bed
No mirror in bedroom which spoilt the fact that there was a Dyson hairdryer as couldn't see to dry my hair
Room right next to kitchen extractor fans so very noisy. Also very noisy guest upstairs was walking very heavily on a hard floor at 6.30am on Sunday morning :(

Pros:

The hotel had been beautifully refurbished and the layout was excellent. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

Cons:

The room was extremely hot and had no air conditioning which made for an uncomfortably hot night even with 2 electric fans. Unfortunately you could only open the windows 6 inches so there was no way to cool the room.

Charming and elegant boutique style hotel
Pros:

It’s a beautiful building that has been tastefully refurbished to a high standard. Lots of classy touches in the rooms and restaurants with the lovely town of Stokesley nearby. The staff were friendly and helpful especially at reception in every area really. There is plentiful parking on site and it seems a popular place for locals and visitors alike. I would definitely stay here again .

Cons:

There was nothing to dislike.

Lovely stay but quite pricey
Pros:

Very well appointed hotel with super restaurant for supper.
Great option to get a complimentary lift to / from the Coast to Coast footpath that passes on the nearby ridge

Cons:

Pricey for a one night stay.
A drying room would be helpful for wet walkers’ boots etc
