Well appointed historic flagship hotel for dunoon
Pros:

It is a friendly hotel, very popular with older travellers as traditional approach and menu, the public areas are well maintained, other areas would benefit from updating but it is well positioned with great staff which make up for this. Within a couple of days you become part of the family. Bed was really comfy, great views and ease to town

Cons:

The lift is small and slow so therefore being agile with stairs is important if you want to go up to room regularly, lift is adequate particularly for suitcases etc so don't let that put you off

The overnight stay in the tower room was wonderful.

Having a cold shower at night time and report it to front of house told someone will look at it no one did had cold shower in morning

Incredible staff and a fab location to explore Dunoon
Pros:

The staff were exceptionally kind and supportive even before I unexpectedly took quite ill and after coming back from hospital they could not have been more understanding or accommodating to my needs, especially John he’s a gem. Also the food was delicious.

Cons:

Everything was as I asked for, it’s a dated building but with plenty of character. a lot of history and charm.

An excellent stay. Highly recommend!
Pros:

The location is excellent. The accommodation and, in general, facilities were clean and well appointed. The team was superb!

Cons:

Some elements of the accommodation are feeling older, like the bathroom and lighting in the bedrooms. Shower was never quite right. Either went too hot or cool; at any time of day we showered.

Comfortable and clean, John very friendly and helpful and knowledgeable

Cons:

Parking is not good particularly if disabled as no car park and street closed off for event. Lift sounds 100 years old, was not confident it was going to reach its destination
