Fire alarm went off twice through the night and the noise of doors banging through the night
Pros:

Room was large with nice views over the city

Was in a tired condition could do with a bit of love and care on the decorating and maintenance

Accessibility very poor and unacceptable
Pros:

Cons:

Accessibility very poor. No step free route from reception/restaurant/bar to bedrooms internally. Necessary to go outside hotel and approach from carpark entrance.
Offhand approach to problem by receptionist. Suggested we shouldn't have booked
No lifts in hotel for access to upper floors for anyone.

Oud gebouw, kamer ruikt muf, bedden kapot, stof achter meubilair. Voor het oog lijkt het schoon. Personeel is niet klantgericht.

Cons:

Het is vies. Personeel is niet ingesteld op hospitality. Het gebouw is slecht onderhouden. De kamers ook. Het is niet goed schoon gemaakt.

Cons:

We had very heavy bags and our room was on the 3rd floor so without an elevator, it made it a little difficult to get up to our room.

Perfect hotel for our visit to the theatre.
Pros:

Location was perfect. Easy to drive to from by pass. Free parking. On bus route to centre of Edinburgh.

Cons:

Unfortunately no lift. But was given a room with fewest stairs to access.

Prima ligging. Prijs-/kwaliteitverhouding valt tegen.
Pros:

Ligging buiten het centrum, maar dichtbij de bushalte naar het centrum.
De kamer was op het oog schoon, maar kan een facelift gebruiken. Dat geldt overigens voor het hele hotel. In onze kamer zat een gesloten deur naar de naastgelegen slaapkamer. Hierdoor waren er forse geluidslekken waardoor we alles konden horen wat er in die slaapkamer gebeurde (gesprekken, gesnurk enz), en andersom ook. We hebben dit gemeld bij de receptie, maar gelet op de reactie verwacht ik niet dat er iets mee wordt gedaan.
Het ontbijt was magertjes.
Het ontbreken van een lift zou nadrukkelijk vermeld moeten worden. Wij sliepen op de 3e etage en moesten de koffers over de trappen en door een lange gang zeulen. Kortom, dit hotel is nauwelijks geschikt voor mensen die moeilijk ter been zijn.

Cons:

De gehorigheid in de kamer met als gevolg weinig privacy. Interieur en ontbijt had ik hoger inschat.

Nice & very convenient to get public transport into the city centre
Pros:

The room was very clean but in need of upgrade & they need to rethink the position of the tv.
Dinner was very good. Breakfast not so good. Choice was poor.

Pros:

Staff were great very helpful, reception and bar area very smart.

Our room was a little run down and shabby it seems booking.com bookings always get the less attractive rooms.
