Very clean, staff all very pleasant and helpful both at reception and at breakfast time. Breakfast good.
Nothing.
Replace shower over bath with walk in shower. No handrails to assist with entry or exit. Had to use heated towel rail which would have been hazardous if hot
We had a lovely stay and everything was amazing from start to finish. The staff were welcoming and friendly, and we were pleasantly surprised when we were upgraded to a better room, which was a really thoughtful gesture and made our stay even more enjoyable. The hotel had a lovely atmosphere, and overall we had a fantastic experience.
There were only two minor issues. The beds were a little too firm for our liking, and the rooms became quite warm, especially during the hot weather. It would be great if fans could be provided in the rooms during warmer periods to make guests more comfortable.
The staff were exceptional from the receptionist to the lady cleaning the room. Manager must be doing a great job
Bit of a hard bed
The welcome. The gentleman at the reception was very kind. The perfect breakfast and also the restaurant
The TV that didn't work
Staff were young and friendly, being actively overseen by managers. A small Issue that was raised to staff was dealt with by management. Nice to see! Good job!
Hotel bar and restaurant were very comfortable and nicely presented.
Restaurant food was of good quality, if a little uninspired.
Great selection of local Spirits at bar.
Rooms were small and a bit dated.
Lift broken, not informed of fact, were with elderly guest with walking aid and the spiral stairs not great with hand rail being on narrow step side!
Very nice hotel, lovely food and a well stocked bar, Staff were very nice.
Creaky floorboards in our room, Plus I got charged £3 for parking ?
Staff were very friendly and helpful
Room was a little outdated for the price, shower wasnt properly cleaned on arrival.
The whole hotel was soo hot, granted its summer but no good air-conditioning. Getting ready for a wedding was horrific in the heat, the wedding being held in the ball room was the same, had to open fire exit doors to get some air
Having to pay 50 pounds each to use a swimming pool for two hours is nothing short of pick pocketing .
Very grand entrance to the property then it went downhill
Room was very small and looked like it was stuck in the 80’s, for the hotel to be so grand ant the rooms to be so poorly dated was such a big disappointment. The small TV wouldn’t even connect to the WiFi which it should have room so hot and no fan available. No safe in room another disappointing item not to have. Curtains wouldn’t close properly the rail was so dry and rusty looking they would not move easily and when you pulled them the whole curtains moved so impossible to close properly.
Good
Good central position.
Our suite was the furthered away from reception. The reception guy waited until we had lifted our bags and were half way up the stairs before asking if we needed a hand! In bathrooms it was a whisky & water body wash and lotion which is horrible - why would you want to smell of whisky!!
Good location
Big, cold, run down in places
The car park had ample parking space, the breakfast was lovely, I liked a physical key and a bell to let you in if you were late out. Tea/coffee/biscuits and hot chocolate in the room. Cotton wool, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and body lotion. Lovely towels, and iron and ironing board, hair dryer and trouser press in the room.
The curtains didn’t close properly, letting light into the room in the morning. There was a stain on the cushion and hairs on the pillows. The entrance and corridors were modern but the room was a little dated.
