Could have been good...
Pros:

Reception staff were friendly and tried to be helpful. Room was clean, tidy and comfortable with an excellent shower and location good.

Cons:

In the middle of heatwave of 36 degrees the aircon did not work. Despite repeated requests for help and bring told maintenance were notified or were on the way this did not happen. Made for an extremely uncomfortable and almost unbearable stay despite a fan being provided.

Great location, safe friendly
Pros:

Amazing location 5 minutes from gloucester road tube station, felt a safe location to walk round too shops etc on road back to hotel from tube station was handy.

Amazing hairdryer in the room and an actual mirror near a plug if your a lady you know how most hotels dont have this.

Cons:

Room was bit tierd looking needs bit cleaning, paint and tlc.

Aircon doesnt work very hot room in the summer.

Ideal value stay
Pros:

Great location 5 min walk from tube, had a room at the rear of the property so it was nice and quiet, great for our 1 night stay in the city. The lay out was rather quirky. Had to go up then down some stairs to access our room but it’s an old building and probably wasn’t built as a hotel.

Cons:

It was clean enough but could do with a good blitz- the grout in between the bathroom tiles needed a good bleach and the sink stand was water damaged. However, this did not detract from our stay.

Great location
Pros:

Extremely courteous and welcoming staff, a fantastic location (close to the underground) and brilliant value for money. Fantastic for a night or two stay. Would definitely recommend to anyone who is out all day exploring the city (and wants to come back and chill in the evening).

Pros:

Good location & clean room, very reasonably priced. They staff were all very friendly.

Cons:

The corridors and stairs were a little tired and the lift doors were dirty, splashed with something in the inside. No shelves in the shower room to put anything. Also one of the towel rails fell down. We couldn't open one window properly as the leading outside was broken and blocking the top of the window. I had to be careful not to bang my head on the slanting wall next to the bed when getting in and out as there was limited space. We went out for breakfast as the dining area didn't look very inviting.

Modern room, great location, good price.

Cons:

Staff at reception where not very helpful, perhaps due to language barriers. I asked for a restaurant review and she said she didn't know anywhere at all. We are Australian so speak English easily, staff had strong non-English accents.
