Eravamo nell'appartamento nella courtyard. Camera e bagno senza finestre, un'unica finestra nel cucinino che si affaccia direttamente sui tavolini della corte. Fortunatamente non era stagione estiva, perché per i rumori è come avere in camera chi parla seduto al tavolino, anche perché non c'è la porta in camera. Pulizia non soddisfacente, abbiamo trovato ad esempio dei dischetti di cotone non nostri sul piatto doccia lasciati lì da chissà quando, pavimento sporco. Non c'era scopino in bagno. Due pentole in tutto vecchie piccole e incrostate di cibo. D'altra parte non c'erano spugnetta per i piatti, strofinaccio, tovaglioli. Il contenitore per il sale era vuoto. Per tre giorni di permanenza in due, c'erano solo due capsule per il caffè già messe aperte. Il tavolino in cucinino traballava. Muri mezzi scrostati. I rumori dal piano sopra si trasmettono direttamente in camera. Nel complesso purtroppo credo sia il posto con il peggiore rapporto qualità prezzo che abbia mai trovato su booking e non comprendeva nemmeno la colazione. Un ultimo appunto, anche se non dipende dalla struttura: per arrivare all'IWM a piedi ci sono circa 3 km in parte su strada non protetta.

The room was quite dark, even with the lights on. There was a little confusion about breakfast start times at the weekend. There was no restaurant for evening meals - apparently it closed a few months ago. The hotel website could do with being updated accordingly.

It does have creaky floors, I liked this but others may not. It is old

Insisted from the start that we should pay the hotel direct and that Booking.com don’t take payment. We agreed in the end for me to give my email so they can contact me after checking if they receive money in next couple of days. Fairly shabby and odd mix of furniture that was not good enough quality. Stale smell about the place - from disused kitchen? Didn’t know until after booking that no food available.

Restaurant being refurbished which wasn't clear until on site, so no food available. Local pubs (the alternative), not particularly inviting. Breakfast in the bar a bit unorganised.

Not being told that they don't serve food in the evening anymore when I booked the accommodation, that is unacceptable as it is a complete change in policy and would have 100% influenced my decision to stay there so extremely disappointed in such poor communication and poor customer service.
High cost per room despite minimal basic facilities.
No glasses nor mugs in the room.
Whenever rang reception no answer yet someone was sat there ignoring the calls.

Being a bit of an arachnophobe I didn't like the way the kitchen units were unfinished with missing runner boards and had to stuff blankets under the cupboards in our stable room to fully relax.
The continental breakfast was balanced on the end of the bar and consisted of toast, rice krispies, yoghurt and stale pastries. There was a sad looking pile of pre sliced cheddar cheese and what looked like salami. Appalling value for money at £10 per person.

The bathroom door knob was broken and kept falling off. A cupboard door in the bedroom was broken and fell off. A welcome note said there would be water in the small fridge but there wasn't any. There was only 1 clothes hanger in a very big wardrobe. No bath towels were in the bedroom and I had to ask for them which wasn't an issue but ideally they should have been in the bathroom already. The breakfast choice was very limited. Fruit; apples, pears, bananas, no fresh berries or anything like that. A very limited vegetarian selection and one type of cheese was placed directly next to sausage meat in the same dish. Cereals, toast and jam. Apple juice, orange juice or water. The dining room chairs were worn and grubby. The whole place seemed a bit worn and old but the lovely staff made up for it.

On arrival had to go and find staff to check in, room was smaller than expected and a little rough around the edges. Flaking paint, hole in floor and lumpy mattress.. just didn't feel value for money at £160 a night.

Only an overnight stay so can’t really comment.
