Fantastic staff. Interesting venue.
Pros:

Beautiful hotel, lovely and clean, cool decor. Staff were actually really lovely, they were the best thing about the venue.

Cons:

Our room opened straight onto the outside teepee. There was no aircon. There was no bedroom door meaning all the teepee lights shined through the door(the staff turned some off at request). Plug socket with plug in and on, under my pillow.
Breakfast was crap- not what it says on the menu. Only continental during the week. I feel saying it was continental was a push.

Great hotel in good location for Duxford.
Pros:

Great location, good decor, comfy bed. Room decent size.

Cons:

Bathroom could have been a little cleaner, grout grubby in places. Good shower. I already mentioned ed to the manager on site who was responsive and actioned. Akso a bit disappointed with only being continental breakfast during the week, cooked breakfast only on offer at the weekends but again discussed with manager and he explained reasoning. Nonetheless we would have liked the option of a cooked breakfast

Great start but ended very badly
Pros:

Amazing location and the room was fantastic

Cons:

We were woken at 5am to the fire alarm, we were two of about 6 people that actually bothered to get out to the assembly point and left waiting for 10 minutes until someone told us it was all ok. This then happened a further 2 times until finally we had enough and left at 8.30am! But no apology offered at check out I had to raise the issues

Disappointing, from previous reviews we were looking forward to it but will not bother again.
Pros:

Location was very convenient for our destination.

Cons:

Location is fine, but if you stay there bear in mind a couple of minor irritations.
1: There is no lift hence a lot of stairs to navigate with luggage if you're on the top floor. If you have any mobility issues I'd ask for a ground floor room, I didn't and was in the Loft which was a hike up 3 flights of stairs,
2: The Loft rooms have limited windows, are built into the roof therefore are quite dark and hot. Not ideal if you like air and space. Safety reasons... meant that windows only open a small amount.

Sadly the restaurant and bar lack ambience. They're very modern but there's no atmosphere with few people using them, hence no buzz about the place. It may be the evening we stayed there but as we decided to visit another local venue it obviously wasn't the locality, it was very busy, but maybe something else.

Great place. Hope we get back soon
Pros:

From the greeting and assistance to the room, food service in the evening and at breakfast, to our departure - wonderful service throughout.
Great room and space in the stable block.

Cons:

A few small issues pointed out on The Lodge's own survey form.
Possibly the bed slightly too hard.
Not a sound proof room as demonstrated by the copulating couple who must have been in training for the olympics (my decibel meter would have disapproved!)
