Awful
Pros:

The shower worked. The night attendant gave up one of his fans at 2am to try and help get us through the night. He would have tried to move us I think but the horel was fully booked.

Cons:

The receptionist looked like he hated his job and you could see why. He was sitting with 2 fans in a hot gloomy space, 34C outside and warmer in. Our box twin room had 2 tiny narrow beds and was impossibly hot with a badly working fan, awful lighting and a window to a low courtyard offering no air flow. Our late booking of this room should never have been taken given the forecast, at least not wiithout investing in a decent airflow provision. I became breathless at 2am and had a cold shower to survive. Luckily we had brought our own water as none provided in the room. The room had smudgy walls, no attempt at decoration and hairs lurking in corners. The hotel takes a £50 damage deposit on arrival, a policy that assumes guests will be awful. No other Paddington hotel seems to need to do this.
This stay was dangerous and on reflection a full refund should have been offered. You can see from my other reviews that I travel a lot and generally find positives, but this experience was awful.

Nice place
Pros:

Staff were friendly and helpful. We were able to check in an hour early and leave our luggage there (free) the next day as our train wasn’t until late.

Cons:

Rooms are very small. The bathroom was minuscule with no space to move in the shower at all. There was also no where to put shower gels etc in the shower.
I had a twin room and the beds were very thin. Good for a night.

We where on the ground floor with no widows or fresh air, because of this the room smelt damp and the bed sheets even felt damp, I'm sure the upper floor is much better.

Little gem of a hotel, trust me!
Pros:

I travel to london a lot for work and I ALWAYS try to book a room here. It cannot be beaten for value for money, location and staff. Every room is equipped with a fridge which in the summer in london is priceless. All members of staff are amazing. They will go out of their way to make sure your stay is as comfortable as possible. From the cleaners to the reception to the managers they are all professional and super friendly. Look out for Lee on reception when you stay. He is an absolute legend. He has extensive knowledge of the surrounding areas and can tell you the best places to go to eat, drink and sightsee whilst you're here. Honestly I don't give many reviews because I dont feel most places deserve one..there are always things to moan about with london hotels but the glendale certainly isnt one of those. HIGHLY recommended!!

Room was extremely hot, no air con, the window would only stay open by being propped up by a towel. Hotel really needs a revamp, very scruffy.

Pros:

Room is v. v. small, but it had everything you could want... facilities in the room, good quality towels and linens and and really pleasant staff. Not surprising for these buildings, there was no air con, but with fan and a window that opened properly, I slept well, despite the heat wave temps. Location v. handy to Paddington and yet no noise at night. Will be back.
