Iron scorch marks on room carpet
Drinks from another group added to ourad bill which was disconcerting. Hotel staff put this right immediately
The location was great, the service was brilliant too from the reception staff to the room service folks.
Only thing stopping this being a 10/10 for us is that the Eggs Florentine for breakfast wasn’t the same standard as everything else. Clutching at straws, I know.

Hotel, staff and food was very nice
Parking is not very good, some parking spaces are very tight. We were lucky to get a space out the front of the hotel, after trying to get in a tight space in the underground car park.
The views were spectacular from my room, to the restaurant and bar areas. The staff were very helpful, brought my bags from my car to my room as I had mobility issues. All were friendly and polite.
Very hot in the room, window only able to open a small amount due to safety lock. Fan was provided on request but just blew hot air around I understand this is a lovely old hotel but maybe portable air-conditioning units could be an option if the UK climate is getting hotter.
Great location, a short walk into town so no disturbance from car/pedestrian traffic. The staff were brilliant and super helpful. A slight mix up with the room was quickly resolved. And when they worked out that we were celebrating my wife’s birthday they sent a complementary bottle of fizz up to our room. 🥂 . And it was a very comfortable room with stunning views across the estuary to Flushing.

Zufahrt eher schmal
Loved the positioning of the hotels and also that it has kept it traditional ways of running the hotel. We chose a room with a view and would highly recommend. The restaurant for breakfast was great with nice choices and gluten free products available . Ate one evening and again the food was really good. Waitering staff too are very attentive .
Just a small issue on arrival seeing the step into the hall of the hotel. It is so dirty and makes you wonder what the rest of the hotel was like regarding cleanliness. Either clean it or replace with a hardware bristle mat or tiles. Although we also did have a long wait on arrival we were given complimentary drinks which was a really lovely touch
