Pros:

Really nice hotel, great stay. Room comfortable

Cons:

Only downside, paid for air con in the room, but the unit wasnt on, no instructions who to set it up, room was very warm, took around 20mins to set it up. Once on it took a while to cool down.

Brilliant as always...
Pros:

I have stayed at this hotel lots of times before. The hotel, the staff and the facilities are all excellent.

I booked a junior suite with French doors leading out to the garden. We had a little dog and this was perfect...

Cons:

The room was a bit tired and there were coffee stains on the arm of the sofa. I'm guessing a dog didn't do that...

What A Fantastic Place to Stay!
Pros:

We are regular visitors to this hotel, staff are extremely friendly and welcoming, the grounds and hotel enriched in so much history, I could not recommend a more pleasant stay.
Public transport to London is mere minutes away. 10/10 as always.
Was even kind enough to upgrade us for free to a suite as it was my birthday!
Thank you again and we will be back :)

Great location, beautiful grounds, rooms rather sad.
Pros:

The grounds were lovely and there were plenty of areas to sit outside to relax. The staff were excellent they went out of their way to ensure we had everything we wanted, they were all friendly and very professional at all times.

Cons:

The room decor is very dated, the carpets were stained and the overall impression was dark and grime. Our first night involved us using a fire escape, part of it spiral steps, to gain access to our room as there was an event which barred normal room access. Not great for people with health issues. There was also very limited menu for dinner as there were events in the hotel. Very disappointing.

London is how far? Seriously?
Pros:

Everything. I needed somewhere close to London which would have safe parking for motorcycles - hit the nail on the head with this place. Long driveway through well established garden with HUGE trees. Gorgeous historic building, my lodge room had a balcony overlooking the gardens, good food, tranquil. Sitting in the garden with a beer, you'd never guess central London is 10 miles away. Even had proper filter coffee in the rooms!

Cons:

Nothing. Great place.

Grims Dyke
Pros:

Fantastic location and gardens plus the character of the hotel

Cons:

The lodge where we stayed had too many stairs no lift, no air conditioning and was very noisy in the late and middle of the night.

Could of been so much better
Pros:

Room was clean, didnt have breakfast
Staff were friendly.

Cons:

Room was dated and needed tidying up, room was booked with air conditioning as a room facility but our room did not have this and there were no other rooms avabilbe due to the hotel being fully booked. This was a very big issue as they only supplied one fan and this was pointless for the size of room we had. Hardly slept on a very hot night.
