Petit déjeuner et gentillesse du personnel.
Le 3eme étage avec ma grosse valise en période de forte chaleur dans les escaliers etriqués.
L'emplacement en coeur de ville avec accès à un parking public très proche
l'absence d'ascenseur lorsque l'on a une chambre au 3eme ...
Air conditioning was perfect, it was extremely cool and comfortable despite being on the top floor and a heatwave outside. Really peaceful sleeps and completely silent despite being in the centre and the hotel full. We booked and checked in last minute and everything was extremely smooth. It’s also just 20 mins drive from the sleeping beauty castle.
Things to note: For medium sized dogs like ours they charge a €25 euro pet fee per night (it’s based on weight of the dog, which they informed us of upfront when we booked so there were no surprises, however when a boutique 5 star hotel in Paris only charges €10 Euros per night for a dog fee, I think €25 in a small village in the countryside is quite a notable disparity. There is also no mini fridge in the hotel room.

Absence d’ascenseur
The location could not have been better right in the centre of the very pretty old town. V comfortable bed and good walk in shower. The hotel does have a few of its own parking spaces (limited) - we ended up in the public paid for car park only two mins walk away for 1€\hour. NB the machine buttons v faded and be careful not to pay more than you need.
Unfortunately I suffered a bout of food poisoning overnight from a local restaurant but the hotel staff couldn’t have been more helpful about allowing us to check out at lunchtime to allow me further time to rest - particularly Roman who was on reception. They didn’t hesitate to take all our heavy luggage up to the floor where our room was. Buffet breakfast according to my husband was excellent and plentiful.

Incredibly central location, beautiful old building, staff very helpful. Easy and cheap parking a 100m away. Breakfast office was high quality with a amazing amount of choice.
We were just staying overnight but Chinon and its surrounding area is worthy of a longer stay

Superbe hôtel, très bien situé, en plein centre ville avec une très belle vue.
L’hôtel est très propre, bien entretenu et les propriétaires (ainsi que leur apprentie) sont très accueillants. Le petit déjeuner est très bon. Nous avons deux bébés et nous nous sommes sentis vraiment bien.
