Beautiful pool, the room was clean and airy with excellent air conditioning. Very quiet.
More families than a few of the other places we stayed.
Always a beautiful hotel with great staff. Food & drink was superb.
Our room has rubbish left in it would be my only comment.
A beautiful property with friendly staff. The buffet breakfast was good and the food and service at the restaurant were lovely, also enjoyed relaxing around the pool with a drink in the sun.
Very smart with excellent rooms
Restaurant was understaffed
Fantastic location, great facilities and wonderful staff.
Nothing.
Beautiful property with spacious room and lovely grounds
I'm writing my review specifically about Room #56 in Le Domaine de la Tortiniere's “annex,” about a 5 minute walk from the main chateaux-style building. We had an exceptional stay in this room. Charlotte, at the Reservation Desk, was welcoming and genuinely cared about our stay. The room was spacious, well-appointed, ground-level, with separate bathtub and shower, generous towels, lit makeup mirror which matters for those of us who wear eyeglasses, good t.v., comfortable bed and pillows, and two comfortable arm chairs. The Loire Valley was having an oppressive heatwave during our 4 day stay. We were HAPPY for the A/C, but couldn't take full advantage of our large terrace, too hot to sit outside. The view towards a castle and chateau in the distance was special. There's nothing I can think of that wasn't great here. We aren't big breakfast eaters, so we passed on that, but ate dinner twice in the lovely restaurant. Very attentive service, nice wine, good selection of delicious food. The only negative was one of us is a pilsner beer drinker and this wasn't available, so we suggest to have one Pils on the menu. The pool was lovely, refreshing, and well-maintained. Because I didn’t notice it in any other reviews or information, I'd like to mention location. This property is 30 minutes or less from Tours, and 10-15 from the major highways. The area offers A LOT within a short distance of the hotel, though the hotel and grounds feel very private and relaxing. The lovely town of Montbazon, a wonderful family-owned Boulangerie, many restaurants, supermarkets, shopping malls are all nearby - really everything someone may be looking for. I think there is possibly also sporting activities and activities for families/children, though we weren't here for that. If or when we visit again, I’ll plan better knowing what the area offers and understanding better the distance between chateaus, which can be significant.
We didn't choose the breakfast since we knew we'd be up and out to tour The Loire right away each day. But I stopped in to see what we missed. It was a very typical European breakfast tho the setting is lovely and the help, as with all areas of the hotel, is welcoming. They allowed me a complimentary cappuccino that morning, which I appreciated.
