The first thing to greet us was a snooty woman who had better things to do with her time ! She told us to follow her out of the hotel and walked away from the building to a set of ( staff quarters or stables in the past!) rooms with a spiral staircase and no offer of help with cases ! When we entered the room she must’ve seen the disappointment in my face and asked what was wrong with the room and I said it was very small, after all it was a special anniversary and she said, I know but you’ve paid for the least expensive room?? What attitude was that? I’m not sure why they employ her but she definitely didn’t win a prize at charm school! Dinner was no better, having to wait 45 minutes to get served and then when main meal came we couldn’t eat it and got up to leave and no one questioned why we left the food!!
Calm atmosphere. Upgraded room was very comfortable. Lovely BBQ meal on the terrace. EV charging.

Location. Close to Tours, for visiting and many fine chateaux . Outdoor pool. Outdoor dining.
No lift in main building.
Menu a bit limited.
It was not clear on booking that our rooms were not located in main Castle. But it was ok, short stroll in grounds to sort of coach house.
Restaurant excellent. Staff super great. Grounds lovely..
We did not know we were staying in out building. Thought we were in château. For an older couple 2nd floor with out elevators is difficult.
All good, room, breakfast and dinner.
Nothing springs to mind
The hotel chateau was beautiful. The staff was beyond helpful and nice. There was plenty of parking, and the location was easy to find on GPS. Good location if you’re visiting the Loire Valley castles and you have a car to get around. Breakfast was also delicious.
When we booked the hotel, we booked a Pavillion room. On booking.com it doesn’t specify that this is actually not on the main chateau but rather another building just adjacent. This building looked more like a provincial apartment complex and functioned fine for us, but with the reservation we definitely thought we were going to have a chateau room with a view into a pavilion, not a room that was farther away.
