Although not much to look at from the outside, like a lot of other buildings in Santander, this is a superb hotel, and up there with some of the best.
We arrived off the ferry from Portsmouth at 08:00, and it was only a four minute walk from the terminal to the hotel. Despite it being very early for our 15:00 check-in, the friendly and professional Receptionist allowed us to store our bags there, whilst we went exploring. She also advised that if we returned an hour later, early check-in could be arranged for a €15 fee.
As it was a nice day we didn't need the early check-in, so came back after 15:00. The new Receptionist was just as friendly and professional as the first. He also added breakfast onto our bill at €10pp, as we had a long day ahead of us the following day. If you book the breakfast at check-in you get it with about a 20% discount.
The room itself was fabulous. Large and spacious, on the top floor, overlooking the bus and railway stations. The bathroom was sleek and modern, the shower hot and powerful, and the towels lovely and thick.
The bed was superb, with a thick mattress, and very comfortable. The air con worked great, and there's also bonus points for the inclusion in the room of a fridge.
The breakfast was tasty and plentiful, easily worth the money, and the young gentleman running the breakfast room did so to the same high standards as the rest of the staff in this wonderful hotel.
All in all a superb hotel, conveniently located in the centre of Santander. Should I come back to this town, this hotel will be my first choice.

Everything in the hotel was very clean and to a high standard
There are no bedside tables, just a charging point and small shelf for phone ( easy to knock off when the alarm goes off). It would have been useful to have one for tissues, water, book, medicines etc .This is the only thing we could write here!!

It was so Central and so comfortable, just perfect of what I wanted

Lovely hotel friendly staff and perfectly located near the bus station and old town , room was clean and had nice decor
Only complaint was the pillows had a damp smell to them , and an annoying alarm went off at 7am each morning in the corridors
