Exceptional grounds but not exceptional stay.
Pros:

Facilities as expected, nice staff, beautiful setting

Cons:

Our room was above the kitchen and by the elevator (likely for requested accessibility). It was loud for sleeping. The steam room was only ok, the restaurant was very expensive. Just not an amazing experience but with a big price tag.

The hotel is indeed situated in a wonderful location. We chose it for a special occasion—my wife’s birthday—and had been eagerly looking forward to the trip.
However, just a few days before our scheduled arrival, my wife’s father passed away. Consequently, we contacted the hotel to ask for a refund or to reschedule our stay. My wife specifically suggested that we could come a week or two later and asked if the dates could be left open.
We were informed that hotel policy allowed for neither a refund nor a date change. The only option was to cancel the reservation and forfeit the entire amount paid.
In the end, I traveled with my mother instead. Due to personal circumstances, I was unable to attend my father-in-law’s funeral in person, and losing the full cost of the stay on top of that would have been a heavy blow. The trip, which we had planned as a family celebration, took place against the backdrop of loss and deep emotional distress.
I understand that the hotel has booking policies. However, the death of a loved one is an exceptional situation where one expects at least a willingness to consider a compromise. We weren't just asking for a refund; rescheduling the trip for a later date would have been a solution for us as well.
It remains unclear to me why a hotel with such a rich history and atmosphere proved so inflexible regarding human compassion. A beautiful location is memorable, but the way guests are treated during a difficult time leaves an even stronger impression. Unfortunately, that is precisely what left the most bitter memory.

A Day in Provence. The way you dream it to be.

Staff was exceptional. Food was remarkable. Atmosphere was idyllic.

Cons:

There was certainly nothing I disliked! Purely as a suggestion, given the hefty price tag, including a few extras (like a bottle of water to take with you on your bike ride etc..?) might have really elevated an otherwise perfect stay.

Outstanding stay at the most charming chateau in Provence!
Pros:

Absolutely spectacular from the moment you walk on the property to the minute you sadly drive away. The staff was superb: Vlad, Kenny, the owner, and her lovely daughters, all incredibly helpful and supportive, and made my stay very memorable. The property is divine, the food is outstanding, and the atmosphere is euphoric. Quite literally the place of fairytales, worth every penny. Will absolutely be booking again. Photos and videos are accurate but do not fully depict the charming welcome this gorgeous property evokes. 100/10.

Cons:

Would not change a thing; this place is perfect.
